Chicago PD begins tonight with Dt. Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) telling Adam Rusek (Patrick John Flueger) to go see Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), as he doesn’t have a choice about the meeting. Adam cautiously walks to Voight, who orders him to stop talking. Voight knows that Denny Woods (Mykelti Williamson) is holding the fact that Adam changed the file on his sister’s DUI, but he wants to know what Rusek told Woods; he swears he only gave him the video of Dt. Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) in the fight at the bar and the $20K was also him, but he didn’t give him the tape. Voight tells Rusek he has 2 choices – serve Voight up to Woods or help Voight take Woods out. Rusek says he has always been with Voight. Voight walks away but tells Adam he never said they were “good.”

Jay is out with his girlfriend, Camila Vega (Anabelle Acosta), where people are doing drugs in front of him. He is getting ready to leave, Camila kisses him and he realizes there is cocaine on her lips. After having some alone time, Jay says he will meet her outside, but when she doesn’t come out, he calls her. When he is going back to the club, there is a loud car crash and the woman who ran into Camila as they were leaving is laying on the road with gunshots to her abdomen. Camila runs out to “Ryan”, telling her to get out of there as the cops will be there and she can’t be there; as soon as she is gone, Jay calls Voight, saying he needs help.

In the daylight, Voight and Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) approach Jay demanding to know what he is doing there. Jay says he is working a CI at the party the victim was at. Voight knows he has been drinking and tells him to go back to the precinct and not talk to anyone. Upton is told to work the body as Voight talks to Homicide. She finds money and drugs, saying if this was a robbery, they didn’t do a very good job.

Voight comes to see Halstead, asking about the IPR. Voight sees right through Jay’s story and demands to know if he is sleeping with Camila; Jay denies it, but it is clear that Voight doesn’t believe him but tells him to stay on the case. Jay goes to see Camila, who is talking to Wallace Blake (Tyler Elliot Burke). She tells Wallace she will see him later tonight; after he leaves, Jay lies, saying the cops brought him in questioning him about the girl who died, all Camila can add is the girl’s name is Maggie (Giota Trakas).

Rusek and Dt. Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) learn from the ME (Celeste M Cooper) that Maggie’s tox report came back clean, nor was there any sexual assault but there was a UV stamp from another club. Rusek informs the IU team that Maggie goes to club ECHO all the time, and is able to track her back to her apartment. Hailey and Dt. Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) go to her apartment, but it doesn’t look like the apartment of a junkie and none of the bills are in the name of Maggie or Margaret. As they search the place, a DEA Agent comes in and they discover there was something going on with a cover named “Maggie” and he learns that she is dead.

Voight meets with the Drug Enforcement Administration – Chicago Field Division, informing them they have a detective who is undercover, who has lots of access and contacts in the crowd. They don’t know the motive yet, and can’t explain why Maggie aka Ella Porter was out on her own that night either. Jay returns to find Dt. Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) explaining that it looked like Ella’s target was Alex K who was a low-level dealer in the club and also the manager. Voight wants them to work Alex’s ass to find out who his supplier is, Jay, says he knows Alex through Camila and asks to work him, suggesting he makes an undercover buy.

Voight tells Adam to give Woods what he wants, Rusek is shocked then Voight says that he put in papers that Atwater is next in line for Detective and not Rusek. Rusek gives the tape to Woods, who is surprised but Rusek says he is doing this out of anger because he is being passed over for Detective and feels he doesn’t owe Voight a thing.

At the club, Jay and Hailey meet with Alex; Alex makes a play for Hailey but Jay informs him that she is gay. He asks about Camila, his girlfriend but he says that she will be by later. When Jay asks to buy some “blow,” Alex tells him that Camila sells too and she would probably give him a better deal. Jay doesn’t want to mix business and pleasure and they agree to meet tomorrow. Outside, Hailey confronts Jay about both Camila being a dealer and him screwing her, as that is something that could get him fired. Hailey insists he needs to speak to Voight about this but he begs for a few hours first. She agrees.

Hailey shares with the team the next move but when Voight asks her where Jay is, she tells him he is with Camila. Voight wonders if that is all she wants to tell him, she says Jay is working his source to see what she knows.

At home, Camila is asking Jay if there is something wrong. Jay tells her that Maggie was undercover DEA, and asks her if there is something she knows because maybe he could help her. She reveals after Luis died, she couldn’t afford the place so she started dealing coke. He assures her if she was only selling an 8-ball here or there, she is fine but if she knows something, she needs to tell him. She wants to leave, saying she wanted to leave since her brother died but only stayed because of “Ryan”. She tells him she loves him.

Alex (Johnny Ferro) gets out of his car, walks down an alleyway, walks up to a garage punches in a few keys but realizes he has been made and tries to run. Antonio and Burgess arrest him as Atwater and Rusek break into the garage but it is completely empty. Kevin finds a quarter key of cocaine while Rusek finds garage remotes.

Burgess and Antonio interrogate Alex about the murder of a Federal Agent. Alex insists he only makes an intro, he makes a thousand bucks every time he does it. He gives them Camila’s name, Jay tries to talk to her but Hailey tries to stop him, saying he needs to let this loyalty to her go. Outside, Jay calls Camila’s phone, telling her to grab her bag, and meet him at the train station with no phone and no car; promising to find a way out of this.

Jay walks through the park, but Voight and Hailey stop him. Voight tells him that Hailey didn’t have to tell him a thing. Voight says Camila is a suspect in the murder of a DEA Agent, and he is going to work her, find out exactly what she knows and then bury her ass. He is tired of Jay’s blind devotion to Camila, forcing him to wear the wire.

Jay meets her on the bridge, she admits that she lied and is recruiting people and moving drugs. She said someone in the club called her “Ella” and the next thing she was dead. Jay demands to know the name of the person she told. Jay promises to go with her, only if she tells him the name of the person. Jay tells Camila he loves her. She tells him it is Wallace Blake, the guy at the club the other day. Voight lets him do this, as it is their best chance of getting Blake.

Antonio and Olinsky are at the club when Wallace Blake arrives to meet with Jay and Camila. Jay pushes too hard, forcing Wallace to pull a gun on Jay. The team burst in and arrest Wallace and Camila, she is heartbroken to learn that Jay is a cop. He comes to talk to her in the back of the SUV, she tells him he makes her sick, making her fall in love with someone who doesn’t exist, ordering him to get away from her.

In the interrogation room, Wallace says he didn’t kill the lady in the alley, saying Camila did it after she freaked out when someone called the woman by another name, worried she was a cop. He is confident they don’t have enough evidence or they wouldn’t be working a confession out of him. He mocks them, saying they don’t play poker or they wouldn’t show their hand. Meanwhile, Camila is in another room, talking to Hailey and Antonio. She says her alibi is screwing Hailey’s partner Jay at the time of the shooting.

Voight shows Wallace that Ella’s blood was in the back of his car, reminding him that the murder of a federal agent is the death penalty and this is his only chance to get in front of this and tell them why he did it. Wallace pauses for a moment, then smirks saying he knew that girl was lying. She was walking away and she hit him, so he shot her. Voight gets up as Wallace asks about how they make the deal, Voight says they don’t because he lied. Olinsky says his instincts were right about one thing – the photos were fake and that they DO know how to play poker!

Rusek meets with Denny Woods in an empty parking lot, as soon as he steps out of the car, Woods attacks him, demanding to know what kind of game he is playing with him. Woods, saying the $20K that Voight took was in evidence all along, the property clerk wrote down the wrong case number. Woods threatens him saying they still have some business to do, Rusek says he understands but Rusek wants to know why he hates Voight so much. Woods says they are two dogs in a cage, and one bowl of food; it’s not hate, but survival! Voight witnesses the entire exchange from his own car.

Sgt. Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) and Hailey Upton watch as the FEDS swoop in for Wallace Blake, to take all the credit for the arrest. Platt reminds Hailey she did all she could on this one, and what Jay did was not on her. Voight visits Jay at home, looking for drugs and alcohol, looking for an explanation for what just happened. He is angry saying Jay’s word doesn’t mean much since he looked him right in the eyes and lied, putting the whole Unit at risk. Voight hopes Jay can dig himself out of this hole he dug for himself.

Hailey goes to see Camila in lock-up. Camila wants to know Ryan’s real name, and she says it is “Jay.” She says that Wallace confessed to the murder, so she got lucky there but she is charged with felony drug distribution and accessory to murder. If she cooperates, Hailey will try to convince them with the drug charge; only if she will keep her mouth shut about Jay, giving her a story to tell, without sex, or back room. She wants her to pretend she never knew him but if she doesn’t do it, Hailey promises to bury her. Camila swears she won’t say a word but says the person Hailey knows is a lie!

END!
