Miles Brown and Rylee Arnold (mentored by Lindsay Arnold) – Jazz – “Space Jam” by Quad City DJ’s

Judges Comments: Mandy: “If this is any indication on how this night is going to go, I think you guys need to be in charge more often. I loved that there wasn’t a whole lot of stuff around, it was just about you dancing. You did that very well, it had energy, a great way to start.” Adam: “Miles I thought we were the same, but tonight was a slam dunk.” Val: “I loved the genre of the music, Ioved it, it was incredible.”

Judges Scores: Val 9, Mandy 9, Adam 9 = 27/30

Mackenzie Ziegler and Sage Rosen (mentored by Gleb Savchenko) – Cha Cha – “What If” by Johnny Orlando & Mackenzie Zeigler

Judges Comments: Adam: “Mackenzie my last critique is that I wanted you to give more of yourself. I don’t really don’t think there is any way that you could have given more, you are out there, you are killing it and that song is so good.” Val: “Mackenzie I want to take a second and recognize you for what you are doing for your own age, 14 years old, you record your own song, you come out here and you’ve never done cha cha, it is outside of your genre, really complex choreography and you need to be validated for that.” Mandy: “You are a great performer, there was a star quality about you tonight. I love when you came down and danced, you kept the energy. Continue to work on the partnering, it was great.”

Judges Scores: Val 9, Mandy 9, Adam 9 = 27/30

Jason Maybaum and Elliana Walmsley (mentored by Emma Slater) – Jazz – “It’s Tricky” by RUN-DMC

Judges Comments: Val: “Jay who are you? Your swag was on a hundred thousand million. That was incredible, I love how you paid homage to the heyday of hip-hop. I loved it, it was so out of anything I ever expected from you.” Mandy: “I loved that it had all the elements of a great jazz routine. It was funky, groovy and you had great lines. Tonight you were 6 foot 5 the way you danced.” Adam: “Tonight you were the leader of that dance crew, you rocked the house.”

Judges Scores: Val 9, Mandy 8, Adam 8 = 25/30

Akash Vukoti and Kamri Peterson (mentored by Witney Carson) – Charleston – “Do Your Thing” by Basement Jaxx

Judges Comments: Mandy: “The Charleston is all about moving really really fast. I am really impressed with that your feet were moving really really fast and you had to switch it off and spell, and you did it. You are the first person in the history of dancing with the stars who did a one-legged leapfrog over your partner.” Adam: “Every week you come out and it is so much fun. You have done so well in this competition.” Val: “You make intelligence look so charming.”

Judges Scores: Val 7, Mandy 7, Adam 6 = 20/30

Sky Brown and JT Church (mentored by Alan Bersten) – Samba – “The Greatest” by Sia

Judges Comments: Adam: “Sky, you and JT have such great chemistry. It fills the entire space.” Val: “It is obvious that you are committed to learning the proper ballroom dance, I love where you are going.” Mandy: “You put in my favorite movie of all time, the slingshot. I agree with Val, I thought there were excellent content and great execution.”

Judges Scores: Val 8, Mandy 8, Adam 7 = 23/30

Mandla Morris and Brighton Brems (mentored by Cheryl Burke) – Cha Cha – “Perm” by Bruno Mars

Judges Comments: Val: “Mandla you are paving the way as your own artist, all by yourself, without your dad. You are on your own, an incredible artist. It was so fresh, so clean and you showed a great cha cha.” Mandy: “Cheryl was not easy on you this week, you totally handled it, with poise and swag. I can’t stop watching you, I love the contact between you b both.” Adam: “I have to agree with Val, it was super creative. You found your groove tonight, it was awesome.”

Judges Scores: Val 8, Mandy 9, Adam 8 = 25/30

Ariana Greenblatt and Artyon Celestine (mentored by Brandon Armstrong) – Jazz – “Rolex” by Ayo & Teo

Judges Comments: Mandy: ” That was so good, I loved that awesome performance. There were great jazz movements, they are super hard to swag out and you guys did that tonight, good job.” Adam: “Arianna we were very tough on you in your last critique, but you listened. There is nothing more that we could have asked for tonight.” Val: “I don’t what else to say. You have charisma, you have it in every genre.”

Judges Scores: Val 9, Mandy 9, Adam 10 = 28/30
