Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that we’ve got plenty of comings and goings news to share. Your head might be spinning from all the departures and returns lately. It’s easy to miss announcements, so let’s talk about the casting shakeups at DOOL.
Kyle Lowder is making a comeback at Days of Our Lives, but it won’t be in his old role. He played the part of Brady before Eric Martsolf took over, but he’ll be serving as a Rex recast this time around. There’s a good reason for that. Rex used to date Mimi (Farah Fath), who’s also coming back to the NBC soap for a handful of episodes. It looks like they’ll cross paths during their upcoming stints.
Fath wasn’t sure about a soapy return at first, so it took some convincing to get her on board. Fortunately, Days had the perfect duo to win her over. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Fath admitted that DOOL’s head writer and a co-star were crucial in making this happen.
“There were only two people that could pull me out of soap retirement and that’s Ron Carlivati and Judi Evans,” Fath said. Carlivati used to write for Fath when she played Gigi on One Life to Live, so she likes his work. Plus, Fath indicated that she just couldn’t say no to a reunion between Bonnie (Judi Evans) and Mimi.
That tidbit confirms that Evans will indeed reprise her role as Bonnie during Mimi’s stint. Bonnie’s currently on the run, so perhaps another prison stint is in her future. Mimi may return once her mother’s back behind bars. Whatever the case, it should be nice to see these two together again.
Other Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander (Paul Telfer) won’t dash off just yet. He plans to stick around Salem for a little while and make life miserable for his foes. Xander will face off with Eric (Greg Vaughan) on this week’s new Days episodes, May 21-25, as well as push Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) buttons.
On May 23, Thaao Penghlis will appear as a ghostly Andre (Thaao Penghlis). Days spoilers also hint at Vivian’s (Louise Sorel) return from the dead, but she’s not listed in any official comings and goings info. It’s possible some trickery will be involved here. Regardless, Sorel is no longer taping and that means any potential popup would be brief.
On other Days news, Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) return is getting closer. DOOL spoilers for the week of May 28-June 1 feature Ben, so you can expect to see this crazy villain again soon.
