Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) days in custody are numbered. Sami has been in a world of legal trouble ever since showing up at Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John’s (Drake Hogestyn) wedding. There, she caused a scene and things got really out of control when Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) revealed herself and taunted Sami with the news that EJ (James Scott) was alive.
Kristen then ordered Sami to shoot John, and all hell broke loose. One thing led to another, Eric (Greg Vaughn) and Sami struggled with the gun, and the gun discharged, shooting Marlena. There were, of course, extenuating circumstances. Sami had been drugged by Kristen and didn’t exactly know what she was doing.
But since multiple witnesses could attest to the fact that Sami was holding the gun when it discharged, Sami was arrested. Sami can’t remain behind bars for too long, though. After all, she’s got EJ to go find! So just how will Sami get cleared in the shooting?
Well, according to Days spoilers, some shocking new evidence will come to light and John will be the one to uncover this evidence. But what will it be? For Sami to get off the hook with the police, it will probably have to turn out that Sami didn’t actually pull the trigger. It might be that Kristen rigged the gun to shoot at a certain time, or by remote control.
Of course, how John will stumble upon the information that clears Sami remains to be seen. Perhaps he will pursue Kristen (since the Salem PD aren’t exactly on top things) and she’ll let it slip that the gun was rigged, or that there was another explanation for the shooting.
