Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) will soon get a new lead on the person who framed Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) for setting the fire at the cabin. Hope’s been of the belief that Ben planted the fake evidence himself, in an attempt to taint his case and ultimately go free. But something’s soon going to tip her off that the guilty party may be someone else…Tripp (Lucas Adams).
It will become apparent to Hope and Rafe that Tripp’s got an incredibly good motive for framing Ben. He desperately wanted Ben out of the loft and out of Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) life for good, and what better way to make that happen than make Ben look guilty of trying to kill Ciara?
Tripp would have also had plenty of opportunity to lift Ben’s fingerprint from somewhere in the loft and place it on the can of accelerant. Sure, Tripp’s not a forensics expert or police officer, but he could have figured out how to transfer a print from the internet.
How Tripp will play it when he’s questioned by Hope and Rafe remains to be seen. Will he try to deny that he planted the evidence at first, and then cop to the crime under pressure? Or will he just spare everyone the trouble and outright admit what he did?
However it goes down, Days spoilers say that Tripp will eventually admit to planting the evidence because he truly believed Ben was guilty of setting the fire at the cabin. In his mind, he was just making it easier for the cops to put Ben away for something Ben clearly did.
And now Tripp’s going to be in loads of legal trouble for his actions, not to mention the trouble he’s going to be in with Ciara when she finds out how he set out to manipulate her with the false evidence. Tripp’s in for some tough times ahead.
