General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, January 5, tease that Jason (Steve Burton), Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will mull over the new clues. They’ll decide to concentrate on the Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) angle and hopefully get some answers. Sonny will suggest that if Dr. O knows how to contact Faison (Anders Hove), she may have other info as well.
Of course, the trick will be prying the truth out of her. Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Maxie (Kristen Storms) are already having a hard time with that. General Hospital spoilers say they’ll call Dr. O out for her deception again. Maxie will get pushy about Dr. Obrecht’s motives for hiding things from Nathan. Dr. O will crack eventually under the pressure, so expect a confession in the near future.
Meanwhile, Carly (Laura Wright) will annoy Sam (Kelly Monaco) with her continued Jason campaign. She’s determined to push Sam and Jason back together. Carly will make another passionate speech in Friday’s episode. She’ll insist that Sam’s lying to herself and her fiancé. Carly will argue that Sam shouldn’t do that to Drew.
Suddenly, Drew will appear in the doorway. He’ll wonder what it is that Sam shouldn’t do to him. General Hospital spoilers say Carly will face backlash for the New Year’s Eve fiasco. Once Sam and Drew lash out at her, Carly will head off and save her fight for another day.
At GH, Kiki (Haley Erin) will grill Griffin (Matt Cohen) about her mother’s strange behavior. She’ll hope Griffin was able to get to the bottom of it. Ava (Maura West) overheard Griffin and Kiki talking about their big secret. They were keeping Ava in the dark about her upcoming procedure, but she assumed an affair was going on.
Griffin will admit he had to tell Ava sooner than planned. They cleared everything up, but he’ll worry about Ava’s insecurities. Kiki will point out that Ava once wanted Morgan (Bryan Craig) for herself. She’ll explain her complicated history with her mom and suggest that it played a role in the confusion. Ava apparently expects the worst in others since she’s given them her worst in the past.
At the gallery, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) will note that she’s not qualified for the position Ava gave her. She’ll ask what Ava hopes to gain out of this arrangement. Ava will probably argue that she sees a little of herself in Nelle. They’re both complex women with a terrible history, but they might have a hint of good in there somewhere. Griffin gave Ava a chance to prove it and now she’s giving Nelle one, too.
