General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) could return to GH for just the right adventure! Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is an old friend of Luke’s and he could really use a helping hand. Since Robert’s been kidnapped and possibly poisoned by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) this would be the perfect time for Luke’s comeback.
Longtime General Hospital fans will recall Luke and Robert’s many escapades over the years. Even some feuding and fighting over a woman (Holly Sutton, portrayed by Emma Samms) didn’t destroy their friendship. They aren’t quite the young adventurers they used to be, but Luke may have at least one more rescue in him for Robert.
We know Robert was knocked out immediately by whatever Valentin put in his drink. However, GH hasn’t offered details on what Robert was given. It was most likely strong enough to leave Robert wondering where he is and how he got there once he wakes up. If Valentin intends on keeping Robert alive, he probably made sure his victim would have no memory of his involvement.
Several years ago, Luke was poisoned by a radioactive substance called Polonium. Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) put this substance into an earring and switched it for one Luke wore. GH viewers may remember that Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche) was once poisoned by Polonium as well. He took Luke captive in hopes of using him as a test subject for the antidote.
Luke and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) managed to get the entire supply of antidote, so Luke was ultimately cured. Jerry happened to be living on Cassadine Island at the time; this was also around the time when Valentin was first mentioned by Helena. Could Valentin have obtained some Polonium and spiked Robert’s drink with it? If so, Robert will need treatment fast!
General Hospital spoilers say Dr. Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) will return for the Nurses Ball this month. If she finds out about her father’s grave dilemma, will she play a role in saving him? If Polonium is indeed what Valentin gave Robert, perhaps Robin could use Luke’s blood to develop more of the antidote.
Will Luke and Robin come to Robert’s rescue? Will he be found in time for a proper diagnosis and cure? Will Luke take Valentin down while he’s at it? We’ll give you updates as other GH news comes in.
