General Hospital Spoilers: Morgan’s Long-Term Return – GH Departures Make Room for Bryan Craig’s Comeback

WATCH: GH Preview Wednesday, January 17: Carly Vows Revenge On Ava https://www.soapoperaspy.com/2018/watch-general-hospital-gh-preview-wednesday-january-17/

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a major return could be in the works. Some new clues point to one character’s comeback. Did Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) survive? Could Craig rejoin the cast for good? Let’s look at the evidence so we can figure out what’s to come.

For starters, Morgan will show up for some scenes with Ava (Maura West) on Wednesday. She’ll face serious guilt over her role in Morgan’s death. However, this could actually be a hint about Morgan’s eventual return. His appearance is certainly an intriguing decision on GH’s part.

The ABC soap is always careful to keep Morgan’s memory alive. They obviously don’t want us to forget about him. Other dead characters rarely get mentioned, but people are constantly reflecting on Morgan’s brief life. General Hospital gives special treatment to this character and it could be because his permanent comeback’s imminent.

It’s interesting that Bryan Craig stepped up for these Ava scenes. Normally, soaps don’t like to show the old actor if a recast is coming. Perhaps that means Craig is open to a lengthy return. If GH is willing to work with his schedule, maybe a deal’s already underway.

Soap Opera Digest recently put out a blind item that could apply to any of the four soaps. It said one show had plans to work a presumed dead character back into the story. That could refer to Morgan’s popup on Wednesday, but it seems to indicate something more.

The blind item referred to plans and it just came out a couple weeks ago. Morgan’s latest episode would’ve already been filmed at that point. Perhaps the real plans are for a long-term return. If it’s brewing, Morgan could hit the screen again down the road.

Plus, Maurice Benard (Sonny) intends to leave the show in two or three years. If he follows through on that goal, GH really needs to get Morgan back ASAP. Sonny deserves to reunite with Morgan before his exit storyline. They need to spend time with each other and strengthen their bond.

Morgan needs to be around for Carly’s (Laura Wright) sake, too. Since Sonny will probably be killed off, can you imagine the sorrow Carly will face? It would be cruel to make Carly lose both Morgan and Sonny, so Morgan’s return would soften the blow.

Finally, there’s been plenty of departure news lately. After losing Ryan Paevey (Nathan) and others, General Hospital spoilers say they’ll have some spots open. Could Bryan Craig fill one of them? We’ll give you updates as other GH details emerge. Stay tuned to the ABC soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news.
