General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nathan (Ryan Paevey) will remain a huge part of the ABC soap. He may be dead, but that doesn’t mean he’s fully out of the picture. Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) grief over Nathan is driving her story. Nina (Michelle Stafford) will continue to be affected by Nathan’s passing, too. They’re both heading down new paths and Nathan’s demise put them on those.
Of course, Nathan will remain on Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) mind as well as Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna). It’s clear that his presence is still everywhere. In fact, Nathan is featured in some special General Hospital spoilers. On April 3, Nathan’s memory will be acknowledged in Port Charles. His unit will want to make sure Nathan’s sacrifice is remembered and praised.
Meanwhile, Maxie will start to feel overwhelmed. Peter (Wes Ramsey) and Nina just want to help, but they’ll begin to smother Maxie a bit. She’ll take a step back and try to deal with things on her own briefly. Maxie’s got a long road of mourning and rebuilding ahead of her. She just doesn’t know how to pick up the pieces of her broken life.
Nevertheless, Maxie has to press on for the sake of her little one. She’ll do her best to stay strong for her baby, but it’s not going to be easy. Maxie will desperately wish that Nathan were still around to guide her. He was always her rock when times were tough. Nathan knew just how to calm Maxie down and light the way.
Maxie will particularly miss Nathan as her due date nears. GH fans know difficult births are common on soaps, so no one would be surprised if Maxie has serious complications. Maxie might even end up near death! That’d be horrible, but there might be a silver lining. Maxie could cross over just far enough to have an emotional chat with her love.
Naturally, it’d be a joyful reunion. Maxie might even be tempted to stay with Nathan and enjoy eternity together. However, Nathan would remind Maxie that their child needs her. That goes for Georgie, too. As painful as it would be, Maxie would have walk away from Nathan and fight to survive.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Ryan Paevey is open to a comeback stint or has already recorded extra scenes before leaving. On Twitter, he replied to Frank Valentini’s tweet about Nathan being gone, but not forgotten. Paevey hinted that dreams are always a nice option for GH visits. It sounds like he’s on board for a vision like the one we mentioned.
