General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) scheme against Carly (Laura Wright) will rev up over the next few weeks. She’s determined to take Carly down, so she’s resorted to a terribly low blow. Nelle’s trying to drive Carly off the deep end and she’s using her dead son to do it. Unless…maybe that dead son’s not so dead after all!
Ever since GH kicked off this hot plot, there’s been plenty of speculation about Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) return in some form. Some fans have been rooting for Craig’s comeback, especially since he popped up during a special episode that was all about Ava (Maura West).
It’s certainly possible that Craig could appear for a few scenes down the road, but General Hospital seems to have set up something bigger. Doesn’t it seem odd to do this huge storyline centered on Morgan when he died back in October of 2016? Why should viewers care anymore? There must be a major payoff looming.
Perhaps GH is in the process of recasting Morgan so he can make a permanent return to the ABC soap. We could use another hunk in that age range. Since Craig scored a role on a new drama pilot, he seems determined to keep up the good work in primetime. Craig probably isn’t interested in a long-term return to General Hospital.
That’s OK though. There are many other actors out there who would love a chance to bring Morgan to life. Since Morgan was caught in an explosion, the plastic surgery route seems like a no-brainer. GH has been showing us Craig’s picture nonstop, so it’ll make it even more surprising if Morgan looks totally different. They can really deliver a fun shocker!
Naturally, General Hospital will need a way to introduce this new version of Morgan. One option might be if Jason (Steve Burton) digs around and discovers proof that Morgan’s alive. In his quest to find out who’s tormenting Carly, Jason may bring her beloved boy back to her.
Another option might be if Morgan reappears and realizes Nelle’s scheming. Before he reveals himself to his family, Morgan might mess with Nelle and give her a real fright. That’d be reasonable if Morgan had some reservations about coming back to the Corinthos clan. He might need something to keep him busy.
Of course, there are other stories GH could go for. Any of them would be great as long as the fallout’s crazy!
