Eight Months Ago
Wes gets a call. He meets Mrs. Castillo at a café. He is unsure why she asked him here. She offers to pay him to stop seeing Laurel. She knows he has legal troubles.
Present Day
Laurel, Bonnie and Frank watch the video. Laurel wants to talk to Annalise, but Bonnie tells them she has other things she is dealing with.
Annalise is with the gang. She tells them Simon is awake. Bonnie shows up. She tells her Isaac is in the hospital on dialysis. Annalise pretends she doesn’t care. Oliver gets a call. It is Simon. He wants to see him. Annalise preps Oliver. He shows up at the hospital. He is told outside by an officer not to try and steer the case or Simon’s memory his way. Simon asks Oliver if he came out to him. Oliver reports back to the others. Simon doesn’t mean anything. Meanwhile, Laurel’s mother shows up.
8 Months Prior
Mrs. Castillo gives Wes a check for $100k. She tells him that Laurel will break his heart.
Present Day
Laurel plays the recording of their meeting for her mom. Laurel asks her about that day, about her father. Her mother tells her she was only trying to protect her.
Michaela and Connor talk about Asher. He tells her that she needs to decide who she wants to be. Michaela is brought in for questioning. She calls her and Simon’s relationship nothing but a bunch of harmless petty squabbles because of their competition.
Michaela reports back to the others. They only way they can fix this is to control Simon. They tell Oliver he needs to pretend to like him and to convince him to hire Annalise. Oliver comes back and tells her it is too late. Oliver has a lawyer.
Eight Months Prior
Wes hides some things before Laurel arrives. She asks him why he missed study group. She thinks it has something to do with Frank. He tells her that they are good. He is out of it. He is hungry.
Present Day
Laurel cannot figure out why Wes never told her. Frank doesn’t know but he tells her he is going to bring her baby home to her.
Frank calls Bonnie. He received a mechanical error code on her car. They meet. He tells her everything looks okay. She doesn’t want to take the chance and drive it. She thinks its Jorge messing with her.
Michaela shows up to talk to Laurel. She doesn’t know what to do about Asher.
Annalise sees Isaac. He tells her he is proud of her for her case. She asks him if he is in pain. He tells her none of this is her fault. He tells her that this could be the last time they talk. She leaves crying.
Michaela shows up at the apartment. Asher knows she slept with Marcus. She cries. He yells. He cannot believe she stabbed him in the back. Annalise shows up. They don’t have time for this. Simon knows Laurel was not at the party. They need Oliver to go back in. Oliver gets to him. They promise him a green card. If he goes up against them he will lose.
Laurel goes to see Jorge. She threatens him. She can prove that her father donated to his campaign. She needs to know who killed Wes.
Bonnie calls Annalise while she is driving. Denver has the drive and he is playing both sides.
Laurel accuses her mother of killing Wes. She swears she didn’t. Laurel knows better. She grabs her mom’s neck.
Annaise gets a call from Nate. There has been a car accident.
