The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby (Melissa Ordway) will be busy with both work and family drama in the coming weeks. Of course, it’d be nice if Abby could squeeze in some love as well. Y&R fans know that characters rarely stay single for long. Abby’s going to need someone special in her life soon. She could really use some support as Dina (Marla Adams) continues to decline.
Dina will obviously pass away down the road, so that’ll be another blow for the Abbott family. Abby shouldn’t have to go through without somebody by her side. She’ll have Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci (Beth Maitland) around, but they’ll all be struggling, too. It’d be better for Abby to have someone who can be her rock during the crisis.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mal Young, Y&R’s head writer and executive producer, wants to keep Dina on the show as long as he can. Nevertheless, it’s not a good idea to let this drag on and on. Things have to speed up on a soap eventually. Storylines need to move along or fans tend to lose interest.
That’s why Y&R should get started on Abby’s next love story. Who should she be paired up with? Scott (Daniel Hall) and Abby had some solid chemistry, but The Young and the Restless doesn’t seem interested in putting them together right now. On Twitter, Hall revealed that it’d probably be a while before his character came back. That could be a less harsh way of saying he’s not returning period.
Still, Scott’s worth considering as an option. Anything can happen down the road. However, there’s another great love interest ready and waiting. Ravi (Abhi Sinha) might be an interesting choice for Abby, especially since Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was once involved with him.
It wouldn’t be the first time Ashley and Abby were tangled up with the same guy. Stitch (Sean Carrigan) also had a history with this mother and daughter. How would Ashley react to Abby dating Ravi? Would she be jealous or happy that her daughter found a wonderful man? Maybe a little of both!
Then again, maybe The Young and the Restless could bring in someone new. There was a casting call for a handsome African-American actor in his 30s recently. His name is set to be “Don,” but that could change if he makes it to Genoa City. Regardless, he might be an excellent fit for Abby.
