The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that one-half of Khloe will be returning to Genoa City. Kevin (Greg Rikaart) has been living in Portland, Oregon, for awhile. His return to town will be weaved into Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) exit story on the new Y&R episode, Tuesday, February 20.
Kevin and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) talked Victor (Eric Braeden) into allowing them to leave. When they did, Chloe and Chelsea weren’t on good terms. That happens when a supposed friend (Chloe) knocks the other (Chelsea) out.
Hendrickson’s character felt compelled to do so after Chelsea found Adam’s (Justin Hartley) wedding ring in a drawer in the Chancellor mansion on the day of Khloe’s wedding. Chloe later faked her death, which only Kevin and Victor know about.
So, how does the Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) angle play into the coming storyline? Kevin has mad computer skills that go well beyond Phyllis’ work set. Who better to help her track Chelsea’s digital footprint, or should we saw Alexandra West’s criminal behavior?
Married guys like Kevin can be motivated by the grudges their wives. Chelsea was acting on the same instinct when she vowed to avenge Chloe’s apparent crime. Yes, loving relationships often cause one partner to literally do anything for, or in defense of the other.
Once again Adam’s name has been entered into the daytime mix by Y&R’s writing staff via this arc. Hendrickson’s cast exit enabled closure of the open-ended mystery regarding who blew up the cabin Adam was hiding in. Rikaart’s return again allows Egan’s alter ego to evoke Adam’s soul.
Hopeful fans are holding vigil for the return of Chelsea’s spouse. If that occurs, tensions between Kevin and Chelsea would be lowered. But in the meantime, or if that doesn’t happen, he’ll go all in to help Phyllis bring Egan’s character down.
Chelsea’s rainy day fund is logical, though not legal. She’s afraid of Victor crushing her life by exposing Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) story to Nick (Joshua Morrow). That’s why she defrauded Fenmore’s by selling Chelsea 2.0 merchandise via a cloned website.
It’s unknown if the more than two-hundred thousand dollar stash solely came from that ruse. But if so, those are some very pricey clothes.
Nick stands to have his life dramatically altered by the efforts of all involved. For in the end, as Y&R fans know, Egan has departed the show. That means Chelsea will soon have to go. Thus Chick’s egg is about to be shattered.
