The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) will face some bumps in the road. They decided to reunite and accept the obstacles ahead of them. This couple plans to tackle them together, but deception could drive them apart.
Y&R fans can expect Lily to face some struggles this week, January 22-26. She wants to bond with Sam, but she’s going to have some trouble with that. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily just won’t feel like this baby is part of their family. She’ll undoubtedly associate Sam with the pain she’s gone through.
It’s not Sam’s fault that Cane and Juliet (Laur Allen) hooked up. His mother’s dead, so he could really use one. Cane’s hoping Lily will step up, but that’ll obviously be harder than they both thought. Lily will even tell some lies soon. She’ll probably fib to avoid spending time with this kid. Lily just can’t figure out how she’s supposed to cope.
Meanwhile, we’ve got Hilary (Mishael Morgan). She adores Sam and is dying for a little one of her own. Hilary and Cane have formed a solid friendship over the past few weeks. They’ve started to connect, but Hilary claims they’re pals and nothing more.
That may be the case for now, but what happens if Lily keeps this up? Cane will be hurt and could turn elsewhere for support. Likewise, Devon (Bryton James) will eventually be thrown by Hilary’s baby quest. She might even ask him to be a sperm donor. If Devon acts like the notion is crazy, they could easily take a couple steps backward.
Hilary’s determined to get a child to love and raise. Could The Young and the Restless go for a Cane and Hilary pairing at some point? The show’s been trying to throw in some surprises, so this could be an unexpected hurdle for “Lane.” If Lily isn’t careful, Cane and Hilary’s mutual love for Sam could grow into love for each other.
Lily and Cane seem to be end game, but there could always be more twists along the way. Do you think Hilary and Cane would be a good match or is this pairing a terrible idea?
