The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lily’s Harsh Prison Stint Kicks Off – Cane Wants Revenge, Strikes Back at Devon

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lily (Christel Khalil) could face serious jail time for causing the death of Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and her unborn child. Michael (Christian LeBlanc) will do his best to get a lighter sentence for his client, but he’s definitely concerned. If the judge gives Lily the harshest punishment, she could end up spending two decades behind bars.

Of course, there’s been no buzz about Khalil leaving the show. It’s doubtful Y&R has plans to write Lily out, especially since Morgan just exited as Hilary. However, they could do a storyline similar to when Victor (Eric Braeden) went to prison. If The Young and the Restless actually lets Lily head to the state pen, it would open up all kinds of story opportunities.

No offense to Lily, but she doesn’t seem like the type who would do well in the slammer. A pretty little thing like her would be beaten to a pulp in no time. Perhaps Lily could be targeted by some of the other inmates and find herself with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, Cane (Daniel Goddard) would deal with a flood of difficult emotions. On top of his own sorrow and rage, he’d have to care for his kids alone. Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) could easily start acting out over their mom’s predicament. Lily’s drama will certainly affect their lives in a big way.

Cane will be on his own with little Sam, too. He can rely on the nanny, but it’s not the same. Poor Sam already had his biological mother ripped away through Juliet’s (Laur Allen) death. Now Cane will fear that Sam’s stepmom is going to miss his whole childhood. He may think Sam’s going to be an adult by the time Lily walks free.

Again, Y&R probably won’t let this go on that long. This would just create some trouble for Lily and set up a story on the outside for Cane. Naturally, his resentment toward Devon (Bryton James) would grow stronger. Devon’s the one who pushed Lily to turn herself in and derail her life. This could lead to Cane’s vicious revenge and keep the Genoa City mayhem going strong!
