I lost a dear friend in the early hours of the morning. I pray that no one would ever have to feel that sort of pain, but I’m afraid if we live long enough, we all will. I can so easily be lulled into sleep with the things of this world and I think part of that is the beauty and grace afforded to us so we live without constant fear of the unknown. But, this morning I was sobered by mortality. At the end he told me that all he was concerned with was that his name was written in the Book of Life. Money didn’t matter. What he did for work didn’t matter. His house or his car. Just family and his eternal destiny. I feel compelled in my spirit to just ask you to seek God. Now. He is real. He loves you. Right where you are. Right now. He doesn’t care what you’ve done or what you believe or who you love. He just wants you to turn toward him and seek a relationship with Him. That is all. God knew everything you would ever do and He still went to the cross for you. I am thankful for the time I was given with my father. God saved him as a young man from stage 4 cancer and again when he was 30. He was truly a walking miracle. He was tired and he fought as hard as he could this time and I am glad he is at peace and in paradise. I miss you, but I know I will see you soon. I love you
