The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Rey's Investigation Gets Too Close For Comfort, Victoria Cracks Under Pressure

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the toll of J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) sudden demise will continue to seriously impact Victoria (Amelia Heinle). The emotional stress she’s endured since Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) accidentally killed her spurned fiance has been enormous.

Nikki found her daughter asleep at Newman Enterprises. Vickie’s office is one of the many beautiful Y&R sets. Her work space resembles a person’s living room and underscores her firm place as Victor’s (Eric Braeden) chosen child.

It’s natural that Vickie would be frazzled. She feels entitled to the Chief Operating Officer’s spot at her father’s company, despite having left the family business on countless occasions. Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) recent exit, after a brief stay, became Vickie’s latest leverage opportunity. She immediately proceed to issue various demands to Victor and he relented.

However, as usual, Vickie has taken on too much in her ongoing attempt to prove that she can handle work while raising a family, which includes Billy’s (Jason Thompson) son. As hardcore viewers recall, Johnny (Holden and Ryan Hare) is the child Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) literally gave to Villy and didn’t say goodbye to when she bolted town with Chadam’s only child earlier this year.

Vickie berated Billy, as she’s so often done. He told her of his trade show trip, which resulted in the latest Ice Princess backlash. In reality, her angst wasn’t Billy-based, but centered upon the increasing weight of Vickie’s post-Villy life.

Enter Nate (Brooks Darnell), who is Olivia’s (Tonya Williams) recast son. Following his mother’s lead, Darnell’s character became a doctor. Neil (Kristoff St. John) connected him to Victor, per the Moustache’s request for concierge service. That’s a high-brow way of saying a rich person’s private physician.

Victor expanded Nate’s Genoa City practice to include his three-time killer wife. Though to be fully fair, Nikki can claim self-defense in the offing of her father, the rock-in-hand head crush of Diane (Maura West), and the elimination of J.T., who was endangering Victoria.

Nate and Nikki are on the same page where Vickie is concerned. They both see that she’s not healthy and is refusing to acknowledge the warning signs.

Whether Vate will form, thereby becoming GC’s newest couple is an intriguing plot point. That seems at least plausible, though hardly certain.

Meanwhile, another newly introduced character will soon begin working on Vickie’s nerves. Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is investigating J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) disappearance, which obviously implies a coming coverup crew hard press.

Not reporting J.T.’s accidental death and then burying him in Chancellor Park were crimes. Vickie, Nikki, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), and Sharon (Sharon Case) are all on the hook and currently under Rey’s looking glass. His ongoing efforts will lead to a climax likely later this summer, or in the fall.
