Larissa got out of jail. She was released from prison that morning and she was picked up by her husband. Colt claims he still loves her and that he wants to make things work between them, but it sees that Larissa is the one that’s done with the marriage. She doesn’t want to be around Colt or even talk to him. She’s just done. There was a whole list of reasons of why this marriage didn’t work out and one of them could be how her husband keeps making complaints to the police. Colt had to have said something for Larissa to be arrested for Domestic Violence. DV was no joke and it took a lot to prove. There were women that were trying to limit an ex’s access to guns and somehow getting arrested for it before anyone would believe she’s the victim. And its even harder for men.
Men weren’t typically seen as victims of domestic violence because they rarely make an official complaint, but twice now Colt has done it and he never admits to doing it. He just says something to the police to get Larissa arrested and then he suddenly changes his mind about pursuing charges after he bails her out. So what is he doing? Is there truly an issue of violence or is he using the police intimidate his wife? Larissa often has to go on her best behavior when she’s released and that means she’s nicer to both him and his mother, Debbie. Debbie just got back from vacation and she could see the evidence of the fight around the house. The door was still messed up from the police kicking it in and there was a window screen that looked slashed. Almost as if deliberately.
So that too doesn’t make sense? Like how does someone slash a window screen without breaking the window? Does the family not have in air-conditioning in Las Vegas? Colt doesn’t have it in his car because he claims he can just open a window and so did he carry that over? There was a lot Colt did that didn’t make sense and most of it seems to involve his wife. He’s there thinking that they could continue on like before and that’s impossible.
Ashley meanwhile went to go see Jay’s friends. She’s been spying on his social media page because, despite saying she trusts him, she didn’t still doesn’t trust him and so that’s how she found the girl. This girl has been replying a lot under Jay’s posts and it seems like this girl knows Jay. Ashley thought that two were a little too friendly and so she wanted confirmation of her suspicions. Ashley called his friends and they told her it would be best if she came in. She went to the barbershop knowing it was bad, but she didn’t know how bad. She was told that Jay got into a fight with his friend who owns the shop and that the fight had been over a girl. Jay had taken a girl into the bathroom and they had sex.
Jay disrespected his friend when he did that and so his friends had no trouble with telling Ashley. Ashley deserved to know that her husband was a dumb kid. Jay wouldn’t know commitment or fidelity and why should he? He’s a twenty-year-old kid and he just wants to have fun. His mistake was marrying Ashley and he probably only did that to get to the United States. Its what his friends thought and now Ashley believes it as well. She said she was done with her husband the second she had confirmation he cheated on her and so she called him in a fury. She told him that he shouldn’t come home because they were over and she threatened to call the police if he did show up. And so Ashley meant it when she’s done with him.
Then there was Paola and Russ. The two of them agreed to have their first child at home, but nothing went to plan. Paola went into labor in the early hours and at first everything went smoothly. She dilated quickly and everyone thought it was time to bring her to the birthing pool. Paola went into the water and she was there for a while. She was actually in the water for more than six hours by time the midwife had to take her back out again. The midwife said the baby’s head wasn’t in the right position and so that’s why she took her out though to reposition the baby they had to put Paola into several positions. Meaning she could never get comfortable like she wanted. She thought having her baby at home would be calming and relaxing for her. And all it did was prolong her suffering.
No drugs really does mean no drugs. Paola was constantly moving to get the baby’s head in the right position for him to be born and as she was turning it was applying pressure everywhere else. She was deep in pain towards the end. Paola’s mother was also there in the background and, while she didn’t say it, she was probably thinking “I told you so”. Mama wanted Paola to give birth in a hospital and she even said she had six kids of her own because the doctors were there. So mama hated the whole “holistic” approach. She did everything she could to convince Paola to go to the hospital while there was still time and afterwards, she just had to watch while the birth took its toll on Paola.
Elizabeth and Andrei were another young couple expecting a child. They planned on a hospital birth and so good for them, but they also wanted family to be there. Andrei’s father was flying out to be with them for the birth of their first child and Andrei was super happy about it. He loves his dad and they’re actually really close. They talk everyday because they’re that close. His dad was also flying for the first time in thirty years and so it was unfortunate that his flight ran into some difficulties. There was some turbulence because of the weather and so Andrei’s father missed his connecting flight to New York. He was still in Istanbul and he was going to be on his own in a foreign county for nine hours.
It devastated Andrei. He knew his father was probably worrying being on his own and so he wanted to meet his halfway. Andrei wanted to fly to New York and meet his father there, but he and Elizabeth didn’t have that type of money. It was going to be six hundred dollars for Andrei to make it roundtrip at the last minute and Elizabeth tried telling him that they couldn’t afford it. She said that they have bills coming up and that it was half their rent. She also told him that they could ask her dad and Andrei refused to listen to her. He didn’t want to believe that it was a lot of money or that they couldn’t afford it. He told his wife to stop sabotaging him and refused her father’s help because he was too prideful.
There was also the fact Elizabeth could go into labor at any moment. She was in the last stretch so to speak and so she really needed her husband right now, but he spent money they didn’t have in order to go be with his dad. His dad meanwhile was just fine. The man didn’t know the language and he wasn’t answering his phone and yet he was fine. He was a lot calmer than Andrei was and so it turns out Andrei spent the money because he wanted to surprise his dad. It wasn’t about safeguarding his dad or doing what was best for him. It was about Andrei like it always is and he put that burden on Elizabeth because she was the only one paying their bills. And so Andrei screwed them both over for nothing.
Luckily, Paola didn’t have to worry about her husband when she gave birth. She had Russ fill up a pool and she didn’t use it. She had Russ help her up and down the stairs. She also had Russ catch the baby and that’s the part he enjoyed. They welcomed a healthy baby boy to the world and it had been beautiful. It didn’t go to plan, but neither of them complained and they were so happy at first about having baby Axel with them that it took a while before Paola became that “mom”. You know the one that’s always calling the midwife and who tells her husband everything that’s he doing with the baby is wrong. And so Paola called it overprotective, while her husband was telling her that she needs to trust him more.
Unfortunately, there was too much trust in Chantel’s own relationship with Pedro. Pedro came by the hotel the morning after the fight and he didn’t say much. He didn’t apologize for himself or his sister and he again put it back on Chantel to make nice with his family. Pedro then left once he checked to see if she was still at the hotel (because that’s what it was) and Chantel then misinterpreted what just happened. She thought that somewhere in all of that he apologize and that he must still care. Chantel has talked to everyone from their friends to her family about Pedro and they all believe he used her to get a green card. Pedro’s mother Lidia even ran a business advertising it and he tried to claim his mother was helping people find love.
Then today Chantel heard it from another source that Pedro used her. She heard from a friend who got on the bad side of Pedro’s family and whose relationship was ruined because he didn’t what they wanted. This friend wanted to open Chantel’s eyes and she still didn’t fully believe him. She thought that if she talked to Pedro and ask him that he would tell her the truth, but why would he? It was pretty silly to think he would suddenly come clean now when he could keep using her and so Chantel going to him was just asking for misinterpretation. She wants to believe he loves her and all the while he’s been borderline cheating on her since he went back to the Dominican Republic. So, have fun with that, girl!
As for Ashley, Jay later came clean. He said it was technically just oral sex and that it wasn’t anything else. He also claimed to be sorry about it though Ashley knew better. Ashley even knew the woman. They met at a BBQ and she was there with Jay so the other woman must have known they were together. Now this other woman claim she didn’t know that Ashley was married to Jay and again Ashley knew better. She knew this woman knew exactly who she was and was lying to now save herself. And despite that, the woman did at least confirm that it was more than just oral sex with Jay.
Jay lied again and again to Ashley, but she was waiting when he came back to the house and do that’s going to get ugly.
