Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) has some big plans for Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). Eve’s got her claws into Jack, and right now Jack thinks that Eve is the only person in Salem that he can trust. Eve’s determined to turn Jack against Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) and the rest of his family as part of the ultimate revenge against Jennifer.
Eve’s got her sights set high when it comes to Jack. She’d like to be the future Mrs. Jack Deveraux, since she knows that this would cause Jennifer maximum pain. But there is something else that Eve would like to set into motion, and it involves Jack’s professional life.
According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Eve is going to push Jack to make a bold career move…to run for mayor of Salem! It’s apparently time for the mayoral campaigns to begin in Salem, and the current mayor Abe Carver (James Reynolds) is going to have some stiff competition already.
District Attorney Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen) will soon announce that she’s quitting her position as DA and running for mayor, so that will be one big opponent for Abe. But if Jack were to get into the race as well, we’d be looking at an exciting three-way race.
Of course, Jack could be at a disadvantage, since he’s been gone from Salem for the past 6 years and doesn’t really understand the challenges in Salem or the needs of the community. And he doesn’t have any memories of his previous life in Salem. But still, the citizens probably remember him and could be persuaded to vote for him.
But what’s Eve’s motive in pressuring Jack to run for mayor? Well, she’ll likely suggest that Jack would benefit from having a wife and eligible first lady of Salem on his arm. The mayoral race may just be a vehicle for Eve to get Jack to marry her. Plus, she’d probably love the power and status that being the first lady of Salem would entitle her to.
