Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will soon be at her wit’s end. As DOOL viewers know, she recently returned from overseas on a work assignment that kept her away from John Black (Drake Hogestyn) for several months. And during that time, Princess Gina Von Amberg (Kristian Alfonso), who is inhabiting Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) body, moved right into John and Marlena’s penthouse.
Of course, this didn’t thrill Marlena at all, who returned home from her trip to find John and Hope in what looked like a compromising position. John seems oblivious to the changes in Hope’s behavior since she became Princess Gina, but Marlena can tell that something is definitely different about her. To Marlena, Hope acts like a woman who’s after John, and that’s got Marlena troubled and quite perturbed.
Marlena’s tried to get rid of Hope on more than one occasion, but so far, John has been reluctant to ask her to move out of the penthouse, since she’s apparently still got repairs going on at her place. And Marlena has tried to be gracious and give Hope some not-so-subtle hints that her presence is not appreciated, especially since Marlena would like some alone time with John now that she’s back from her trip.
Well, Marlena’s right to be concerned about Hope, since she’s actually Princess Gina. Of course, Marlena would never suspect that Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) implanted Princess Gina’s memories and personality into Hope’s brain, but she definitely notices some strange behavior on Hope’s part. The Hope that Marlena’s always known would never so brazenly go after John in the way that Princess Gina has.
Bur right now, Marlena and John just don’t have all the information they need to put everything together. They have no clue that Stefano DiMera is back and inhabiting Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) body, and that he and Princess Gina are plotting against them. As DOOL viewers know, Stefano desperately wants his “Queen of the night” Marlena back, while Princess Gina wants John.
At any rate, it seems that soon, Marlena will start to get really tired of having “Hope” around the penthouse. And even though John suspects that Stefano is the one who sent flowers to Marlena recently, he won’t really have any reason to put that together with “Hope’s” odd behavior recently, so it looks like he’ll keep defending her to Marlena and insisting that she can stay at the penthouse.
And that will lead Marlena to give John an ultimatum – it looks like she’ll finally insist that Hope needs to go…or else. Perhaps she’ll tell John that either he breaks it to Hope that she’s on her way out, or she’ll do it. We’ll see what happens here, but Princess Gina should be pretty peeved to find out that she has to leave, which may prompt some more erratic behavior on her part – something that will probably only irritate Marlena more.
It will be interesting to see what finally happens when it’s revealed that Hope is Princess Gina, and that Stefano is alive and living in Steve’s body. John and Marlena will be in for a huge shock for sure, but until then they’ll continue to struggle with “Hope’s” strange behavior toward John.
