Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Salem will soon lose a prominent resident. As you may already know, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) will be involved in a terrible tragedy. He’ll happen upon the scene as his mother, Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser) is holding Lani Price (Sal Stowers) at gunpoint. Lani will instruct Vivian to lower her weapon, which she’ll refuse to do, and Lani will fire. However, Stefan will instinctively jump into the line of fire and get shot by Lani’s bullet.
As it turns out, Stefan will be mortally wounded, and he’ll wind up being rushed to University Hospital, where he’ll ultimately be pronounced brain dead, with no neurological activity. That will leave his wife, Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), with a terrible decision to make. As DOOL viewers know, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is currently on death’s door and in need of a donor heart, and she’ll wind up receiving Stefan’s heart.
Of course, this will be a dramatic and tragic way for Stefan to meet his end, but will it really be the end of the line for Stefan? After all, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) is currently running around Salem with an “improved” version of the back-to-life serum. Isn’t it within the realm of possibility that Rolf could somehow save Stefan?
That seems like a distinct possibility, although Days of Our Lives spoilers are pretty clear that Stefan will die, and Julie will get his heart. It’s possible that Stefan’s vital organs will be too damaged for Rolf’s serum to work on him. Whatever the case, it seems that Stefan will die, or at least he will appear to die as far as everyone is concerned.
Since this is Days of Our Lives, and people routinely come back from the dead, it’s a fair assumption that Stefan may be revealed down the line to not really have died. And that meshes with recent DOOL buzz that suggests Brandon Barash could be back filming at the NBC soap. Nothing’s confirmed, and Brandon and the rest of the DOOL team has been tight-lipped about where the show’s headed, but there seems to be the very real likelihood that Brandon has returned to the show.
Of course, if that’s the case, then viewers won’t see Stefan back on screen for several months, given DOOL’s filming schedule. But the possibility of Stefan returning is exciting for fans, who have really taken to Brandon’s version of Stefan in the past several months, as well as to his pairing with Camila Banus. “Stabi” fans would love nothing more than for Stefan and Gabi to be reunited down the line.
What do you think? Will we see Stefan come back to life in the future? Stay tuned to DOOL and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates, and news.
