Eric takes a liking to David, which leaves them hopeful they can curb his violent behavior.
Also, Kristen is most affected by this investigation as she worries about her young daughters who lied about a horror game their grandmother, Sheryl, bought behind her back.”

Tonight on Evil, Ben, David, and Kristen do a psychological assessment on a young child named Eric, when they arrive in the home they see the lock on cabinets and doors, his father states sometimes they sleep together to lock themselves from Eric.
His bedroom door has a padlock on the outside the family seems afraid of Eric, the team enters the room cautiously for the evaluation. He admits to biting his sister till she bled because he wanted her to stop laughing but the team knows he enjoyed hurting her.
His parents say he tried to poison them, and he was changed two years ago and has been evaluated 12 times but the medication doesn’t work. His mother believes he has a demon inside of him and that demon wants to kill them and they need the team’s help.
Ben thinks it could be the environment as he spots copper from the showerhead sample he collected. Back at Kristen’s home her mother is watching the kids and gifts them virtual reality glasses and they ay a haunted house game on it ,and it looks all too real as he was being chased by a demon, as Kristen walks in she sees her youngest screaming in the floor and they quickly switch it to a bunny game so that they can continue to play it.
Kristen and David do a further evaluation at the church on Eric the tests prove he is unemotional and try to teach him remorse David doesn’t know if there’s a demon for sure inside Eric.
Eric states he doesn’t trust Kristen he seems to take a liking to David and opens up more to him as they discuss things they like and have in common. David tells him he should pretend to have emotions in an effort to instill more feelings in him a plan he and Kristen come up with “fake it till you make it” strategy.
Kristen asks Ben to collect a sample in her house to see if there’s any copper erosion there too. While there the girls put the virtual glasses on and get an invitation from a ghost named Rosie to play a game with them, and she asks them to play an Ouija Board and unleashes a demon from the board.
Ben discovers what the girls are doing and takes the glasses and offers to child protect them for Kristen so they can only play the bunny game and tells her there’s no copper in her pipes. As Ben puts the glasses on Rosie appears and tells him childproofing the glasses won’t work.
Back at Eric’s home he seems to be doing what David has asked of him and trying to be normal by mowing the lawn, praying to God and even asking his mother for help with homework, she calls David to tell him the news and he decides to head over with his comic book collection but as David arrives with his comic books to spend time with Eric, Eric tries to kill his youngest infant sister by drowning her.
The parents request an exorcism to be done on Eric and the priest agrees. Back at Kristens home while the girls are asleep the virtual glasses turn themselves on awaking Lynn and she puts it on and is greeted by Rosie asking Lila and Lynn to play telling them she will show them how to take off the child lock, she lures them to ask the ouija board what happened to their father and they fall for it as the board tells them he is in heaven, but they were told he was climbing a mountain in Everest by Kristine, Rosie taunts them calling them orphans and vanishes.
The girls head to Kristen’s bedroom to tell her what’s happened and she takes the glasses and she reassured them their father is safe in the mountains making Monet for the family. It’s the day of Eric’s exorcism, but Eris has run away and he is missing.
The team speaks to his mother and she tells them that she loves all her children equally but when one is dangerous she has to act, she asks the team to pray for Eric and pray for the family, David and the rest of the team come to the conclusion that the parents have killed Eric as a solution to their problems.
Kristen breaks down at home in the bathroom and David is on his knees praying to God to forgive the family for what they have done to Eric.
