General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will face more Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) drama. He wants to be there for the teen and help him get ahead in life, but Dev’s been a bit of a problem child so far. His most recent blunder involved spilling a way too elaborate story to the cops, but Sonny taught Dev the three magic words for a mob cover-up: I don’t know.
Unfortunately, there’ll be something Sonny genuinely doesn’t know soon and that’s where Dev is! He’ll have a missing teen on his hands. General Hospital spoilers say the trouble could start when Gladys Corbin pops in for a visit. She’ll show up on September 3, so she may have some disturbing news for Sonny.
Perhaps Gladys is growing concerned about the threat of exposure. Sonny’s got all the proper false documentation for Dev, but it would still be pretty easy for this all to unravel. It would really only take a slipup and some curiosity to spark some digging. Dev will have to live in fear as long as their current arrangement sticks.
Of course, Dev will be heading to school soon and that’ll bring its own set of challenges. It’ll bring questions and pressure, too. More and more people will grow curious about this Corbin cousin nobody’s ever heard of. It’ll put Sonny in a tight spot and could add to the strain with Dev. He doesn’t like disappointing Sonny, so that may be part of why he ultimately goes into hiding.
If Dev gets deported, he could be killed back in Turkey. Sonny obviously wants to avoid that along with Dev. GH spoilers say Dev could get spooked if he fears the walls are closing in. He may feel he has no choice but to go on the run. Maybe a fight with Sonny will seal the deal on his decision to be a runaway. He may feel like he’s losing his shot at working under Sonny and should bail while he still can.
However, Sonny won’t be ready to write Dev off as a lost cause. Neither will Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who’ll most likely be the one who discovers Dev is gone. General Hospital spoilers say Joss and Dev will grow closer this fall, which could bring some interesting drama with Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
On September 12, Sonny will track Dev down and drag him back home. He’ll undoubtedly give the kid a good lecture and hope something sinks in this time!
