General Hospital (GH) spoilers has some great news to pass on about a popular GH star. Maurice Benard, who portrays Sonny Corinthos on the ABC soap, recently shared on social media that he has a new family member – a new son-in-law!
Maurice shared the news of his daughter Heather’s wedding with his followers on his Instagram Stories. He posted a photo from the outdoor ceremony of the bride and groom at the altar. along with a vintage photo of himself with his family captioned: “Today I will see my daughter Heather getting married. Damn I’m already crying.”
During the Instagram Story, Maurice welcomed his new son-in-law Phil to the family. This is an emotional time for Maurice. As CDL reported last autumn, one of Maurice’s other daughters, Cailey, got engaged, which also resulted in Maurice shedding a few happy tears.
And that means that we may see yet another wedding happening sometime in Maurice’s family in the near future. We’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date about any upcoming weddings as news becomes available.
Of course, GH viewers know that Maurice isn’t the only one to have a new family addition. Maurice’s character, Sonny, recently welcomed Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) into the Corinthos fold. Sonny told Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that Dev was going to be known going forward in Port Charles as his cousin “Devin.”
GH viewers will want to tune into the show to find out what happens with Dev and whether he faces immigration problems as a result of his unorthodox means of entering the country. Hopefully, he’ll blend into the Corinthos family smoothly, as he seems like a great addition to the show.
