The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer) and his wife, Kelly Kruger (Mackenzie “Mac” Browning on The Young and the Restless), are struggling with a tough loss. On Instagram, Kruger put up a post about the death of their beloved dog. She was an important part of their family and will certainly be missed.
“Our hearts are broken,” Kruger said. “Last night we had to say goodbye to our brave girl Charlie.” Kruger told the story of how Charlie entered her life 15 years ago, but Brooks formed his own special bond with the pup once he became a couple with Kruger. It wasn’t long until The Bold and the Beautiful actor was doting on Charlie, too.
“When I met Darin, Charlie fell in love with him instantly,” Kruger said. “He’d take her on runs, they’d cuddle on the couch. She kinda became his dog.” Kruger went on to talk about all the memories they’d made with Charlie and reflected on another difficult loss they faced earlier this year. They had a sweet pug named Maddy that passed away in May, so losing Charlie so soon after had to be rough.
However, Kruger and Brooks are taking comfort in the thought of Charlie being at peace with Maddy. They’ll always cherish the time they had together, and they have plenty of photos to document the crucial place Charlie had in their lives. In fact, Kruger decided to add another Instagram post with pictures since the first one just wasn’t an adequate tribute in her eyes.
“A few more pics of Charlie cuz 10 slides just isn’t enough to show how much both these dogs meant to us” Kruger insisted. “We knew Charlie would go close to Maddy because she took the loss hard.” Kruger also passed along some advice for any pet owners out there. She’s hopeful this will be a reminder to appreciate your dogs, cats and any other special animals in your life while you can.
“Hug and kiss your pets, give them that extra treat, make sure you’re feeding them healthy food and clean filtered water, take them on all the walks,” Kruger said. “Give them the best possible life so that one day, you have peace in knowing that you did and that they were so happy.”
Thankfully, it looks like Kruger and Brooks have no regrets when it comes to Charlie. She was clearly so loved by her pet parents, so she was undoubtedly the happiest pup imaginable. Our hearts go out to Brooks and Kruger as they cope with their pain.
