The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that the big reveal about Phoebe Forrester (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) really being Beth Spencer is on the horizon. As B&B viewers know, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is on the verge of putting all the details together, and soon we’ll see an emotional reunion between Hope Forrester (Annika Noelle) and Beth.
But the baby storyline isn’t going to just end happily and abruptly once the Beth/Phoebe reveal is made. First off, there will be someone in particular who will have a really tough time with Phoebe being Beth, and that’s Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). As one might imagine, she’s going to be devastated, and once the initial shock dies down, she’ll probably want to see some proof that Phoebe is Beth.
And in the end, likely everyone involved will want to be 100% sure that the baby in question here is actually Liam and Hope’s daughter. After all, Steffy won’t want to just hand her daughter over without definitive proof that she’s Beth, and Lope will surely want to secure the proof that she’s Beth as well. And that likely means that some DNA/genetic testing will be in order.
Will Genetic And DNA Testing Reveal Something Shocking?
We also have to remember that TPTB have promised that there will be a major twist coming in the baby switch storyline that no one saw coming. So we have to wonder…what kind of twist is coming?
Well, one possibility is that the genetic testing will lead to something shocking. As B&B viewers may know, soap vet Vincent Irizarry will be joining the show in the coming weeks as Dr. Jordan Armstrong, and B&B spoilers say that he’ll be heavily involved in the Phoebe/Beth storyline. It’s possible that Dr. Armstrong will be involved in the genetic testing on the little girl.
Could his testing reveal something shocking? Perhaps he’ll detect something abnormal or genetically awry with Beth – something that will mean Beth will need medical attention, or perhaps it will be more serious situation requiring a donor of, say, bone marrow or blood. This could lead to genetic testing on both Hope and Liam, and even on Beth’s half-sister, Kelly Spencer (Chloe Teperman and Zoe Pennington).
Of course, if genetic testing is done as a matter of course on Kelly, then an interesting possibility could arise. Long ago, Kelly’s paternity was a huge issue and in question, since Steffy slept with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and for a while thought that he might be the father of her baby. As it turns out, the paternity tests that were done revealed that Liam was the father, and the matter was settled.
Bill Spencer Was Lurking Around In The Hospital Corridor
But B&B viewers will remember that there was an issue that arose at the time of the paternity testing. When Steffy went to the hospital to pick up the results of her paternity test, she bumped into Bill, who was lurking around in the hospital corridor. His story was that he showed up at the hospital to learn the results from the test, but many fans have always wondered whether he in actuality tampered with the test results so that Liam would be deemed the father.
Well, it would certainly be a huge twist if somehow, in the midst of the genetic testing to determine that Phoebe is Beth, testing was also done on Kelly which revealed that Liam isn’t Kelly’s father! It’s almost mind blowing, but it’s certainly within the realm of possibility, and it would be a major event.
Of course, this is just a theory at this point, and viewers will have to wait to see exactly what the big twist promised by TPTB actually is. But something big is brewing in this storyline – something that requires a major player in the form of Dr. Armstrong to help carry the storyline along. There certainly seems to be a medical angle here, and it’s not too much of a stretch to think that something big is going to be discovered.
