The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Friday, August 9, tease that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will be feeling outraged. As B&B viewers know, he’s just heard from Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) and Florence “Flo” Fulton (Katrina Bowden) that his son Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was in on the big secret about Beth Spencer’s (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) identity. He doesn’t believe the story, and it looks like he’ll continue to resist the truth.
Instead, Ridge will turn his anger and frustration onto Zoe and Flo. According to B&B spoilers, he’ll rail against them for destroying so many lives. Ridge will naturally be upset over how they caused Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) so much pain and heartache, but he’ll be terribly concerned about what his daughter Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is going to go through now.
Ridge can see the writing on the wall – that Steffy is going to lose the little girl she’s been raising for months now. And he’s going to want some big-time payback for those responsible for setting everything into motion. Of course, at the moment, Ridge isn’t fully cognizant of Thomas’ involvement in everything, and he’s probably resisting that terrible truth, so Zoe and Flo will bear the brunt of his anger for the time being.
Meanwhile, on the new episode of B&B on Friday, August 9, families will start to divide. Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge will head over to Steffy’s house to support their kids in light of the big truth that just came out about Beth. As B&B viewers know, Steffy has just been told that her daughter “Phoebe Forrester” is actually Beth and that she was stolen from Hope right after childbirth.
That’s going to take some time to sink in for Steffy, who will be utterly devastated as she realizes that her daughter isn’t really hers, but that she belongs to Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). She will struggle with the news, but fortunately Ridge will be there to support her as she breaks down and most likely fights coming to grips with the truth.
And all this will be happening while Brooke happily reunites with Hope and greets her granddaughter Beth. Of course, none of this will be healthy for Steffy to witness, and it looks like there could be a tense scene as emotions run high and ultimately the adults in the room have to figure out what to do next.
Of course, Hope will probably want to stay with her daughter, or even try to immediately take her home. But for Steffy, the thought of the little girl suddenly being taken from her will be too much to bear. It looks like a big conflict will ensue, and as Brooke naturally takes Hope’s side, Ridge will take Steffy’s side, leaving Liam in the middle.
Ultimately, everyone will need to come together and figure out a solution to how to smoothly transfer custody of Beth to Hope, in a way that’s least disruptive to Beth. But that could be tough as Hope and Brooke have one idea about how things should go down, and Ridge and Steffy have different feelings on the matter.
