The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Friday, October 4, tease that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will be facing major life changes. As B&B viewers know, he and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) just separated, with Ridge agreeing to move out of the mansion and find new living arrangements. It’s not what he necessarily wanted, but Brooke was insistent that she couldn’t live with Ridge as long as he was going to support his son, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Now Ridge will need to find a new living situation, which may involve living in a hotel for the time being. His hope will be that he can help Thomas and get him back on his feet and toward being a productive, responsible, and giving person again. But what will that plan involve? What can Ridge really do for Thomas at this point?
Well, one possibility is that he’ll encourage Thomas to get back to work at Forrester Creations. B&B spoilers indicate that Ridge will make changes in the hopes of repairing the relationships with his children, so he could try to get Thomas and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) together for a family talk, although Steffy might not have much to say to her estranged brother at this time.
We’ll see exactly what Ridge’s next move will be, but he’ll certainly be moving into a different phase of his life, and he’ll be going it alone, without Brooke. It’s certainly not the way he wanted to go forward, but given Brooke’s demands, he really didn’t have much of a choice. And the future looks pretty bleak, too, since Brooke requested something that Ridge absolutely does not want to do…to ask Thomas to give up custody of Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Meanwhile, on the new episode of B&B on Friday, October 4, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) will get a visit from her son, Will Spencer (Finnegan George). Katie has been in the hospital ever since her collapse at the Spencer mansion, and now she’s on dialysis until a donor kidney can be found. As B&B viewers know, Katie’s family and friends are being tested as potential donors, but so far a kidney hasn’t been located.
Surely, it will do Katie some good to spend a little quality time with Will. He’ll naturally be worried about his mom, and the whole situation will probably be a bit confusing for him – after all, his mom was fine one moment and now she’s in the hospital and unable to come home. According to The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, Katie will share some tender moments with Will as they visit. She’ll probably be keenly aware of just what she could miss out on if her medical situation doesn’t get resolved soon.
Of course, we can’t forget that Katie underwent some serious health complications when she brought Will into the world. As a heart transplant recipient, her health is already compromised, and that was certainly the case when Will was born. And her heart situation may also cause complications with her current kidney situation, as her body may not be able to withstand continual dialysis for long.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers indicate that Katie and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) will get some additional news about Katie’s condition and her status on the donor list on Friday’s episode, as her new specialist, Dr. Davis (Tisha Campbell) makes an appearance on the show. Dr. Davis probably won’t have the best news for the couple, as Katie won’t be any closer to getting a kidney and the waiting game continues.
