The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) has some thoughts on Liam’s messy life, which includes Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Liam has a daughter with each of them, and now Hope is a mother to Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) as well. When you throw in Liam’s return to Spencer Publications, he’s got a lot on his plate!
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Clifton talked about Liam’s tricky situation and how he feels about both the women in his life. Let’s look at what he had to say. For starters, Clifton acknowledged that Liam’s spread pretty thin these days. However, he’s pleased about Liam’s Spencer Publications comeback. Clifton has a blast filming with Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) and everyone else on the SP sets, so he was happy about Liam reviving his career there.
As for Liam’s love life, Clifton pointed out that maybe Liam didn’t think this whole Douglas custody thing through. Liam didn’t want Hope to have full custody, but that would’ve made Liam a father figure to Douglas. It would’ve allowed for distance between Hope and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). Clifton suggested that Liam may be rethinking his original stance thanks to the shared custody agreement.
“I mean, sometimes be careful what you wish for, right?” Clifton admitted. “Liam didn’t want to have full custody…But now she has 50/50 custody with Thomas; that means Thomas is going to be in Hope’s life forever.” Clifton went on to say that although Liam loves Douglas, “the attention to him is stealing Liam away from Kelly – and Beth!” It sounds like cementing Douglas’ place in the “Lope” family could cause major issues for this couple.
Of course, Clifton had to talk about Liam’s other love interest. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Liam will continue to bond with Steffy, but that doesn’t mean they’ll always see eye to eye. Clifton pointed out that it’s difficult for Steffy because Thomas is her brother, so she’s naturally going to have some degree of loyalty to him. He argued that “Steffy’s not going to cheerlead for Liam” when it comes to trashing Thomas.
Clifton noted that Steffy would remain caught in the middle, so B&B fans can expect some interesting conflict in the coming weeks.
