The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is getting extremely attached to Phoebe Forrester (Isabella de Armes and Redford Prindiville). It hasn’t been long since she’s added Phoebe to her family, but already a mother-child bond is forming, at least in Steffy’s mind and heart.
But eventually, the baby swap scam is going to come to light. Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) is well on her way to figuring out that Phoebe is actually Beth Spencer, and that her dad Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) is behind the whole scam. Zoe will soon get Florence “Flo” Fulton (Katrina Bowden) to confess the baby swap, and the cat will be out of the bag.
Ultimately, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and Steffy are going to have to be told about what transpired, and that Phoebe is actually Beth. Of course, that news will come as a shock to everyone, and there will probably be widely differing perspectives on what should be done next.
Hope and Liam will surely think that they should get Beth back immediately, without any delay. They’ll be horrified to think that their baby has been shuffled around for the past few weeks, separated from them and bonding with the wrong people. And they might be peeved at Steffy and Taylor (Hunter Tylo) for not using more caution and common sense during the adoption process.
But Steffy will probably take a more cautious approach. She won’t just want to hand over her new baby based on an almost unbelievable story of a baby swap. Plus, she’ll be devastated to think that she may lose Phoebe. So, she may demand some firm answers based on science. She just might demand a DNA test on Phoebe to prove that she’s really Beth.
Of course, if Steffy goes this route and refuses to hand over Phoebe/Beth right away, then it will probably start World War III with Hope and Liam, who will feel like Steffy is just delaying the inevitable. But in the end, a DNA test will be the only way for all parties to know the truth, rather than just relying on Reese’s word that Phoebe is Beth.
