The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is in for some major life changes. As B&B viewers know, she’s just discovered that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is alive and well, which came as a huge shock. Hope was certain that Thomas had fallen into a vat of hydrofluoric acid and met a gruesome death. But suddenly there he was, walking right into her room and embracing her emotionally.
Well, we can’t help but wonder about the fallout from Thomas’ incident on Hope and her family. Clearly, she and Thomas will have stuff to work out between them, since Hope is now legally Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) mother. Hope and Thomas will be forever connected through Douglas and they’ll have to get along. Perhaps that will be easier to do now that Hope’s gone through a spell where she thought she lost Thomas.
At any rate, it seems that Hope and Thomas may end up on decent terms. Exactly what Thomas is going to say as he explains where he’s been for the past 24 hours remains to be seen, but it’s likely that he stayed away with the goal of getting revenge on Hope, then changed his mind after he overheard her being in so much pain over his death.
Of course, if he overheard things in Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) mansion, then that means he probably overheard Brooke urging Hope to conceal what happened to Thomas. And since B&B spoilers indicate that Thomas will soon use that information directly against Brooke, it looks like he’ll be out for blood against his stepmother.
Thomas will taunt Brooke into confessing to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) all about how she withheld Thomas’ alleged death from him and pressured Hope to keep the secret as well. And that’s going to absolutely destroy Ridge’s faith in Brooke. In fact, it looks like Ridge will officially split from Brooke after he finds out what Brooke was willing to do, since B&B spoilers say he’ll soon enlist Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) legal assistance.
But what effect is all of this going to have on Brooke’s relationship with Hope? After all, what Brooke was suggesting that Hope do – which was to cover up the death of her husband’s son and then raise his child alone – was pretty horrible. What’s Hope going to think of her mother now? Brooke has railed against Thomas for being “sick” and needing help, but one could just as easily argue that Brooke needs some help as well.
What will Hope do as her mother’s marriage to Ridge falls apart? Hope was determined to tell Ridge the truth despite her mother’s urging to keep Thomas’ death a secret from him. Surely Hope will feel some resentment toward her mother for preventing her from doing the right thing immediately. It will be interesting to see where this goes, and whether Hope will stick by Brooke’s side or turn against her in the aftermath of all of this.
It would certainly be a victory for Thomas if he managed to drive a wedge between Hope and Brooke. Thomas probably wants nothing more than to cause problems for his nemesis Brooke, so if he were to succeed in causing a rift between Brooke and Hope, then that would probably further along his plan to cause maximum pain to the woman who pushed him off a cliff, then later wanted to cover up his death.
