The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Thursday, August 22, tease that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will blame himself for his son’s issues. B&B fans know Ridge has been in denial about how out of control Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is. He doesn’t want to believe Thomas is dangerous, but Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) vehemently disagrees and fears for her daughter’s life.
Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) in peril as long as Thomas is free, so Brooke will continue to fret on Thursday. Even Ridge will begin to see the light. He’ll determine that Thomas really does have deep issues – much deeper than he’s been willing to admit. Ridge will reflect on the past and think about the times he wasn’t there for Thomas like he should’ve been. He’ll truly feel like a failure as a father.
Of course, Brooke won’t want Ridge to hold himself responsible. No parent is perfect, but Brooke will likely praise Ridge as a solid dad who cares about his son. Every soap father has a list of blunders, but Thomas has made his fair of them, too. Brooke may suggest Thomas’ behavior isn’t a reflection on Ridge’s parenting skills. Thomas is just making terrible choices and clearly has some mental problems.
It seems likely those mental problems are the result of a brain tumor, so that could complicate things down the road. Until then, Thomas’ rage will grow stronger and stronger. He’ll convince Amelia (Nicola Posener) to bring Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) over to Vincent “Vinny” Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) apartment on Thursday. That’ll lead to some tough moments for terrified Douglas.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas will blast the boy with everything he’s got. He’ll rant about how Douglas disobeyed him and pushed Hope right back into Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) arms. Thomas will insist this is all Douglas’ fault. He’ll contend that Douglas is the reason their family is crumbling right now.
Douglas might defend his decision in Thursday’s episode. Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) taught him to tell the truth, so he didn’t think he should keep quiet about Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez). Thomas might cruelly remind Douglas that his real mommy is gone and so is his new one thanks to the Beth blabbing. This fierce dad will just hope he can undo the damage.
B&B viewers can expect Thomas to rev up the pressure. He’ll manage to pry Hope’s location out of Douglas, so he’ll find out she’s gone to the cliff house. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas will make a beeline to the property, where a shocking faceoff is set to take place.
