The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) grief will catch up with him. He’s been dealing with a lot since Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) died. Devon had already been struggling to move on after Hilary Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) death, so losing another loved one really hit him hard. That’s undoubtedly part of the reason why he’s had all these visions of Hilary.
Of course, another part of it is that Devon is finally dating again. He got on Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) bad side by paying off her student loan debt without her knowledge, but he’s hopeful about the future. Devon enjoys Elena’s company and definitely connects with her on a deep level.
However, there are some issues that Devon is ignoring, and he’ll pay the price for that soon. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will have a heartfelt dedication during the week of June 17-21. He mentioned wanting to dedicate the Society stage to Neil, so that’s exactly what he’ll do.
Conflict With Dr. Nate Hastings
Unfortunately, Devon will face some conflict on this special occasion. Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) normally gets along with Devon, but some problem will arise and spark surprising friction. That sounds like something Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) might get caught in the middle of.
Devon will get agitated and spar with Nate, so he won’t be in the best frame of mind. Things will only get worse from there. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will have another vision of Hilary. This should be his worst hallucination yet, especially since he’ll be in such a fragile state.
There’ll also be the bright lights and large crowd to deal with, so it’ll all add up to a panic attack at some point that night. Devon has had a grip on his anxiety lately, but it’ll all come flooding to the surface in that moment. He’ll struggle to breathe and ultimately collapse from the stress of it all.
Devon Hamilton A Tortured Soul
Thankfully, Elena will be nearby. As a trained medical professional, she’ll know exactly what to do. Y&R fans can expect Elena to rush to Devon’s side. She’ll make sure Devon is breathing and get him talking again, so he’s going to be fine – at least physically. His mental and emotional health will be a bit tougher to heal.
Elena will realize Devon’s soul is more tortured than she thought. She’ll want to support him, but their romance may have to take a couple steps back. Elena will inevitably give Devon a pass for the student loan debt blunder, but this will be a more important issue to resolve.
Devon has to escape the grief that’s haunting him somehow. He’ll never get over his losses entirely, but he has to find a better way to live with them. Can Elena put Devon on the right path?
