The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that some bombshells are coming up thanks to this Grand Phoenix shindig. Zoe Hardisty (Anna Grace Barlow) intends to turn it into quite a scandal and share it with the world on her blog. It’ll serve as revenge since she’s been snubbed and insulted. Zoe will be particularly interested in making Summer Newman (Hunter King) look bad.
However, there’ll be many other guests affected by the drugged Grand Sangria drinks. Something huge seems to be in the works for Devon. Let’s mull over some clues about what’s in store for him. For starters, we know Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) has been connecting with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a lot lately. Once they’re drugged, their lips may find their way to each other.
Here’s the kicker though. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon’s world will spiral out of control on Tuesday, September 10. Elena Dawson’s stunning confession won’t come until the next day. It’s possible that confession will involve some feelings that have developed for Nate, but it could also be about the kiss itself.
In other words, the gang may get separated. Devon might get his shocker while Nate and Elena are busy locking lips. That could pave the way for Devon to hear about the make-out session from Elena later. It leaves the door open for something else to catch Devon off guard big time.
Plus, we’re not sure a smooch between Nate and Elena would really rock Devon to the core. Would he be surprised? Definitely. Jealous? You bet. Nevertheless, Devon’s a pretty calm guy and that might not be the kind of thing that leaves him reeling. A Nate-Elena kiss is still an option for his party bomb, but there’s another one we should explore.
Back in June, TV Source reported on some buzz about Mishael Morgan’s (ex-Hilary Hamilton) return to the show. They suggested that Morgan might be playing a new character instead of Hilary. Although they couldn’t confirm the news, we should mention they had the inside scoop before Hilary was killed off. The latest Young and the Restless buzz insists Morgan’s comeback is still in the works, so let’s keep that in mind.
Now imagine drugged Devon stepping out to get some air and seeing a Hilary lookalike. She could even be inside as long as she’s hidden from the rest of the group. The guests will be pretty out of it anyway, so it’s not like it’d be that hard. This sounds like just the kind of surprise that Y&R would omit from promos and try to hide from fans.
After all, they’ll need some strategy to introduce this character. Having Devon drugged would be an interesting way to go. He’d be left wondering if the sighting was real or something he hallucinated. Devon might fear he was starting to see Hilary’s ghost again, which brings us to another potential clue.
Once the party chaos dies down, Devon will open up to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Y&R fans know Mariah had her fair share of issues with Hilary, but they became friends just before Hilary’s death. Mariah even cited Hilary as one of her reasons for leaving GC Buzz. She misses Hilary and it just wasn’t the same without her.
The point is Devon has confided in Mariah about Hilary on several occasions. She’s kind of his go-to Hilary person because they both cared about her. We could see Devon turning to Mariah and admitting what he saw in his drugged state. It’d be easier than admitting it to Elena; she’s already had concerns about Devon not being ready to move on.
There’s no guarantee a Hilary lookalike will be what rattles Devon, but it’s worth considering based on the hints. Anything can happen at this crazy party, so we certainly shouldn’t rule it out.
