The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will remain at war with his brother. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) kicked off a major feud with Nick by going after Christian Newman, and that conflict will rev up in the weeks ahead. As for Nick’s portrayer, Joshua Morrow recently spoke with TV Insider about his 25 years on the show and what’s still to come.
For starters, Morrow was asked about fatherhood-related storylines. Is he more comfortable in plots that deal with Nick’s children?
“Being a dad is my world,” Morrow said. “When I’m portraying a father on the show, it’s a comfortable easy place for me. It’s a role I feel I was made for.”
Joshua Morrow Said He Has A Strong Bond With His Y&R Kids
Morrow added that his Y&R kids are a lot like his real ones. He’s got a strong bond with them, so it’s a breeze to portray the right emotions. Although Morrow’s had a long career at The Young and the Restless so far, don’t expect a memoir from him anytime soon. Morrow pointed out that kind of thing may not for him since he doesn’t think he’s interesting enough.
Of course, we’re sure Morrow’s underselling himself! He’s undoubtedly got plenty of great stories – like one he revealed about when he first met Eric Braeden (Victor Newman). Morrow noted that Braeden sized him up and raised an eyebrow at his new onscreen son.
He figured Braeden didn’t like him, but Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) assured Morrow everything would be fine as long as he was respectful. Morrow gushed that “this was one of the biggest days” of his life.
Compared Shick To Victor And Nikki Newman’s Love Story
Next, Morrow talked about Nick’s great love for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Are Sharon and Nick meant to be together? Morrow didn’t want to disrespect any of Nick’s other leading ladies by suggesting “Shick” is endgame, but he did suggest the duo would inevitably come back around. He also made an interesting comparison that pretty much says endgame to us!
Morrow stated that Sharon and Nick will “cross paths many more times in spectacular fashion.” He definitely sees the two of them ending up back together over and over as long as they’re both on the show. Morrow doesn’t like to think in terms of soulmate status, but he does feel like “the Victor and Nikki and Nick and Sharon paths resemble each other.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will keep bouncing between Adam and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) for a while, but her true love will always be Nick.
