The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, August 26 Review - Billy’s Alter Violent - Adam Drops Custody Suit, Threatens Family

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Monday, August 26, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will call the family together for a meeting at Newman Enterprises. Everyone but Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be invited to the pow-wow, and Victor will proceed to tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that he arranged for a restraining order against Adam, so that Adam can’t see Christian Newman (Alex Wilson).

Victor will then proceed to say that he thinks Adam will try to retaliate in some way, and that he wants his family to be prepared because Adam could try to go after their businesses. Both Victoria and Abby will agree to shore up security at both Newman Enterprises and Society. The family will be expressing their unity when Adam appears at the door and needles everyone for going after one of their own.

Nick will inform Adam that he’ll never be one of them, and that will lead to some bickering, but eventually Adam will reveal that he’s dropping the custody suit against Nick. Victor will assume that there’s some catch, and Adam will claim that he’s dropping the suit out of love for Christian, and because things are going to get ugly from here and he doesn’t want Christian caught in the crossfire. He’ll then vow to ruin the “myth” of the Newmans and expose the family’s skeletons to the world. Victor will wish Adam luck.

One has to wonder what Adam could possibly to do the family that would hurt as much as ripping Christian away from Nick, but it seems that he has a plan in place. After he returns to his penthouse, he’ll find Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) waiting for him, and as she grumbles about her own hatred for the Newmans, she’ll offer to play on Adam’s side. She’ll recount how Victor sabotaged her plans for the hotel, and how she gave Dark Horse back to Nick but got nothing in return.

Ultimately, they’ll agree to work together with their endgame being bringing down the Newmans. Of course, exactly how they’ll go about this remains to be seen, and how Phyllis could possibly help given her outside position is unclear.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Monday, August 26, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will rail against Michael Baldwin as he visits them in their interrogation room. They’ll be all ruffled, and finally Michael will quiet them and explain his grand plan. He’ll tell Kevin that he had to arrest him since he belted him right there in the police station, and that he’d never hurt him or Chloe.

Michael will proceed to explain that Chloe will be charged with arson in connection with the cabin explosion, and that as DA he’ll put up a fight but eventually agree that she was suffering from a mental illness at the time, and he’ll recommend probation and outpatient therapy. He’ll guess that Chloe will be released on bail today, which will thrill both Chloe and Kevin. They’ll surmise that the “Adam threat” is now behind them.

Finally, on Monday’s episode of Y&R, Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) behavior will get more troubling for those around him. After her big meeting with the Newman family, Victoria will return to her home with Nick to find Billy asleep on the sofa. Victoria will question why Billy isn’t at work, and Billy will give her uncharacteristic attitude. He’ll snap at her when she comments on his gum chewing, and he’ll bolt after griping that he doesn’t want to be analyzed.

Later, Billy will show up at the Chandler estate right after Michael, Kevin, and Chloe arrive and have a nice reunion with Bella Mitchell (Cali May Kinder) and Esther Valentine (Kate Linder). After everyone has left the main living area, Billy will come inside the mansion and will hear Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) voice asking him to stop Adam. Billy will acknowledge that, then ask out lout if he can see her.

Suddenly, Billy will see Bella, who will be standing in the living room. Billy will go to Bella and hug her, prompting a scared Bella to cry out for her mom. Chloe will appear, then Kevin, and Billy will be rattled, clearly shaken by Bella’s presence. Chloe and Billy will talk, and Chloe will want to know if everything is ok with him. He’ll brush off the idea that anything’s wrong, and Chloe will let him know that she’s always there for him. When alone, Billy will chew another piece of gum.

According to Y&R spoilers, it will soon be revealed that Billy is suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and has an alternate personality, who must be the “Billy” who chews gum and who uncharacteristically snapped at Victoria. We’ll see where TPTB go with this storyline, but it seems that the return of Adam to the living resulted in some sort of new “alter” emerging for Billy…an alter who could prove deadly to Adam!
