The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update and recap for Monday, January 28, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will get a visit from Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). They’ll drop by the ranch to share their engagement news. Victor will grumble about it and produce a prenup for Arturo to sign. Despite Abby’s protests, Arturo will assure her that it’s no problem.
Next, Victor will spend some time with Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri). While Victor’s reading to Johnny, Katie will wander off. Y&R spoilers say Victor will spot the kid in the hall and learn something disturbing. Katie will suggest that she was playing with a friend, but Victor won’t see anybody around. It sounds like a mystery intruder’s been lurking.
At Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) place, he’ll demand the truth from the cover-up crew. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) will all spill the shocking tale. After they explain how girls’ night went down, they’ll insist they hated deceiving Nick and everyone else. They just felt they didn’t have a choice.
Nick will also hear about Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) blackmail and the fact that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) knows what happened to J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). Talk will turn to who’s framing Victor, so Nikki will blame Phyllis. Nick, on the other hand, will believe it has to be someone else.
Afterward, Nick will head over to Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) house with Victoria. They’ll need to attend Abby’s engagement dinner. Back with the remaining cover-up crew members, a shouting match will get underway. Sharon will eventually intervene and suggest that they have to keep their pact intact. Phyllis will back Sharon up on that. She’ll note that the secret’s spreading and it’s getting dangerous.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will wonder what’s up with Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez). He’ll try to be all lovey-dovey, but Mia won’t seem very into it. At the Abbott mansion, Jack will battle more doubts about Kerry Johnson (Alice Hunter). Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will push Jack to give Kerry a real shot, so he’ll invite her to the big dinner they’re having.
Soon after, Arturo and Abby will show up. They’ll get a warm greeting from Jack, who’ll reveal his engagement celebration plans. Arturo will be encouraged to invite his family, so he’ll shoot Rey a text. When Rey updates Mia on the bash across town, she’ll want to skip it. Mia will still be irked that Arturo upstaged her with his proposal, but Rey will convince her attend the party anyway.
Once all the guests arrive and get settled, Mia will hit the booze hard. She’ll get drunk and make a spectacle of herself soon enough. Mia will note that the Rosales family isn’t rich, but she’ll sarcastically contend that Abby’s welcome in it. She’ll take jabs and talk loudly until Rey just yanks her out of there.
Meanwhile, Kerry will step away to interact with someone via text. That’ll give Jack a chance to look in Kerry’s purse and see the syringe. You can bet he’s going to have more questions! Back with Rey and Mia, they’ll argue about Arturo at home. Mia will start crying about how Abby’s just going to hurt Arturo, but Rey will think his brother can handle his own love life.
