The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and recap for Monday, July 29, tease that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will drop a bomb on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). He’ll reveal that he sent his private investigator out of the country and destroyed the blackmail photos along with the negatives. Adam will lash out since those pics could’ve helped score him custody of Christian Newman.
After Adam welcomes him to the dark side, Michael will insist that Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and his family are to be left alone. Adam won’t like the outcome if he goes after them. Michael will suggest that he’s decided to run for DA and plans to talk Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) into stepping down faster. Y&R spoilers say Adam will make it clear that if Michael messes with him, it’ll be a mistake.
Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will reflect at the property where he was going to build a new home once upon a time. Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will find him there and comment on what a nice place it is. Nick will recall how he offered the property to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) after they got married. He’ll suggest that it’s the land of broken promises now.
Chelsea will talk about how it feels right being back in town. Genoa City feels like home, but she’ll be uncertain when Nick brings up Connor Newman. Nick will think they should table the topic and go back to his place. Over at the GCAC, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will arrive at Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) suite. She’ll insist she missed him, and he’ll admit he missed her, too.
Sadly, Sharon and Rey still won’t be on the same page. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will think Adam’s more than just a pal to Sharon. He’ll add that Sharon loves Adam because he’s so screwed up, but Sharon will insist she merely has pity for Adam. They’ll debate whether Rey’s stance is because of Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez), but he’ll insist Sharon’s using him to mask her true feelings.
While Rey declares that he’s done, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will reassure Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). He’ll be happy they could help Nick by taking Christian in. Victoria will be uneasy about not being able to contact Billy. She’ll want him to keep his phone on at all times from now on.
Later, Sharon will chat with Billy about his Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) dreams. Billy will contend that he’d feel more comfortable opening up to a therapist. He’ll get updates on Shey’s split and side with Rey since Adam’s so toxic. Billy will end up confiding a bit after all, so he’ll share that his life is one big Delia nightmare now. He’s always too late to save Delia from Adam just like the night she died.
At Kyle and Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) place, she’ll let him know Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) left and doesn’t plan to come back for the wedding. They’ll mull over how they’d feel if they had a daughter and she didn’t reveal that she had major surgery. Kyle will like the idea of a little Lola running around. Lola will also suggest she understands that Kyle’s grown up since his days in New York.
At Dark Horse, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will bark at somebody named Roger over the phone. Once Victoria appears, Phyllis will admit she was able to pull off the sale of the assets. She’ll push Victoria to let her tell Nick his properties are being transferred back to him.
Afterward, Phyllis will bump into Michael at the coffeehouse. They’ll bicker about him abandoning Nick in the custody battle before Phyllis alludes to the opportunities Adam’s given her. Michael will insist he’s avoiding Adam, but Phyllis won’t seem so sure. Back with Victoria, she’ll spot Billy speaking with Sharon. Billy will confess that he might get some sleeping pills to help him.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will cross paths with Rey at Society. They’ll get into an argument about Sharon being Adam’s prey, but Adam will argue that she’s not someone he has to hunt down. He’ll sarcastically tell Rey he’s sorry for causing drama between them, but Adam will feel confident his own bond with Sharon is secure.
Finally, Dayrl Tulane (Gordon Thomson) will arrive from Baton Rouge. He’ll insist he’s about to make Chelsea a rich woman! We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R news comes in.
