The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, October 31, tease that things will get creepy for Halloween! Y&R has a special episode in store, which will concentrate on five main characters: Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
These Genoa City residents will battle some wild nightmares, so let’s look at why they’ll be tossing and turning. For starters, Nick will remain on edge over Chelsea Newman’s (Melissa Claire Egan) evening at Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) place. On Wednesday, she bails on her night with Nick and Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) to watch a movie with Adam and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Chelsea has every right to give her son this two-parent family time, but Nick will continue to stew on Thursday. Since Chelsea will be asleep at Adam’s place, Nick will be left to wonder and worry at home. He’ll turn on a horror flick to pass the hours, which is a terrible idea. It won’t be long until Nick drifts off and dreams of Adam’s demise.
Part of Nick may be glad Adam’s gone, but he’ll be irritated when Adam’s praised following his death. Everyone will gush over Adam’s amazing qualities while he’s in cold in a casket. Y&R’s weekly preview video also features Nick with a knife, so this could turn into a bloody fantasy! Whether Nick puts Adam in that coffin or not, we’ll see some deep issues explored.
Phyllis’ nightmare will be less ghoulish, but it’ll be just as horrific to her. It looks like she’ll be poised for great success after a Newman Enterprises takeover, but it’ll be yanked away just as quickly. Phyllis will tank hard, so she’ll have to figure out a way back to the top.
Next, Kyle Abbott’s time warp will leave him reeling. Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will be part of this nightmare, so this undoubtedly ties in with the new cousin developments. Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) will also join the drama, but Y&R will keep Kyle’s dream fun. The Young and the Restless spoilers say it’ll have an ‘80s rom-com vibe, so that sounds entertaining.
Meanwhile, Abby will rock a ‘70s sitcom look as her fantasy explores her worth and what she’s really earned. It’ll sort of be a nod to The Mary Tyler Moore Show, so we’ll see if Abby’s going make it after all! Over with Rey, he’ll find the bad boy within. Rey will undergo a somewhat dangerous personality change with the help of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Sharon always gets pulled back in Adam’s direction, so Rey’s nightmare may be a way of processing that. He might see what it’s like to be the risky choice instead of being the safe bet. Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say this will be a black-and-white dream. A little film noir seems fitting for “Shey’s” shenanigans.
