The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, August 6 Update - Nick & Sharon Fall For Adam’s Set-Up - Connor’s Arrival Looms

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Tuesday, August 6, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be in rare form, and he’ll carry out a calculated plan involving Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) – and both will fall for his ruse.

Things will start when Nick cuts Adam’s visit with Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) short. As Y&R viewers know, Nick appeared in the park right at the moment when Adam told Christian that he was his father. Nick will usher Christian away with the babysitter, while Adam texts Sharon asking her to come to the park.

From there, the men will argue, and Adam will totally provoke Nick. They’ll trade insults back and forth, and Adam will needle Nick about how he was the last to know about Christian’s true paternity, and things will build up to Adam threatening to rip Christian away from Nick. That will be the last straw for Nick, and he’ll physically attack Adam, punching him twice.

And just as Adam planned, Sharon will appear on the scene right as Nick is hitting Adam and Adam is purposely not fighting back. What Sharon ultimately will witness is a scene where Nick looks out of control and angry, and Adam looks like a victim who was trying to de-escalate Nick. Sharon will berate Nick for his actions, and Nick will bolt.

Adam will play the victim and say that he’s glad that Sharon came along when she did. Later, back at Adam’s penthouse, Sharon will tend to Adam’s wounds and she’ll question why Nick attacked him. Adam will reply that he thinks that Nick couldn’t take seeing him with Christian, artfully omitting how he purposely taunted Nick and threatened to rip Christian away from him.

Sharon and Adam will get physically closer as she tends to him, and eventually they’ll kiss after Adam alludes to how much he needs her. They’ll quickly move to the bedroom, where they’ll passionately make love. One wonders how Sharon will feel later, and whether she’ll eventually realize that Adam has totally drawn her in and will use her to get Christian away from Nick.

Later, after Nick arrives home and gives the scene in the park a little thought, he’ll tell Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) that he’s realized that Adam set him up and that he fell for the whole thing. He’ll even realize that Adam roped Sharon into the plot to gain her sympathy and later use her as a witness to his bad behavior.

Of course, it would be better for Nick (and for Sharon) if they remembered proactively as they deal with Adam that he’s someone who’s every move is part of some manipulation scheme. But as long as Nick insists on confronting Adam and getting in his face at every turn, he’s seriously going to be on the road to losing Christian for good.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will make plans to bring Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to Genoa City. She’ll at first be unsure about making that move, but after she talks with Nick, she’ll start to feel ready to bring Connor into Adam’s orbit. Sure, she’ll still be worried about what Adam could do to make their lives miserable, but Nick will assure her that the four of them – he, Chelsea, Christian, and Connor – will be a team and that they’ll beat Adam together.

Ultimately, Chelsea will call her mother, Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach), and ask her to bring Connor “home.” Y&R viewers will soon be seeing Connor on canvas, and that means that Adam will finally get his reunion with both of his sons – that is, if Chelsea allows Adam access to Connor.
