The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, December 24 Review – Billy Gambles Again – Summer Calls Out Theo’s Desire For Lola

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Tuesday, December 24, tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will chat with Summer Newman (Hunter King) at Society. Theo will be hanging out at the bar and Summer will approach from behind. She’ll comment that he was probably hoping it was Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle), but Theo will play dumb to that. He’ll want to talk about Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) sabotage attempt instead.

Summer will then tell Theo that he shouldn’t obsess over Kyle, and Theo will fire back that she still has a thing for Kyle. Summer will push back and ultimately accuse Theo of projecting and wanting Lola. Theo will say that he and Lola are just buddies, but Summer will insist that he wants her but will never have her. She’ll advise him to focus on his work and forget about women for a while.

Summer will then move to a table by herself, and Theo will send a goofy selfie of himself with some food to Lola, who will be at home tree trimming with Kyle. Lola will nearly respond, but then she’ll think better of it as she gazes at Kyle across the room. Theo will be crestfallen that she didn’t respond, as Summer watches him from across the restaurant.

There certainly seems to be a strange dynamic going on between Theo, Summer, Kyle, and Lola these days. Summer and Kyle have their own flirty dynamic, as do Lola and Theo. And then Kyle and Theo seem to be obsessed with one-upping each other at work. Something big seems to be brewing here – it seems like one of these days Kyle and Lola are going to wake up and realize that they’ve got strong feelings for someone who’s not their spouse.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Tuesday, December 24, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will pay Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) a visit at home. Jack will be concerned since he hasn’t heard from Billy lately, and Billy will clearly interpret this as smothering, and he’ll feel pressured. Billy will tell Jack that he hasn’t been seeing his therapist since she had a family emergency and he doesn’t like her replacement.

But Billy will assure Jack that he was been talking to someone, referring to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) without using her name. As Jack leaves, Billy will think to himself that he can’t say what Jack wants to hear – that he’s cured and everything’s fine – but the truth is he’s a mess.

Later, Billy will be getting coffee at Crimson Lights when Phyllis breezes in. She’ll sit with Billy and they’ll get along pretty well, all things considering. Throughout their conversation, Billy will compliment Phyllis for taking charge of her own life, and she’ll detect a note of envy there. He’ll share that he got a new consulting gig, but she’ll think that he can do better than being a mid-level consultant, which will irritate Billy.

After some more back-and-forth, Phyllis will tell Billy to “be Billy Abbott,” and as he’s walking out, he’ll think to himself that he doesn’t know who the real Billy Abbott is anymore. Later, at the little bar outside of Genoa City, Billy will get invited to play poker. He’ll agree to play for one hand, and afterwards he’ll move to a table to drink by himself, telling himself that was easier than he thought.

But how long until Billy gets out of control? Right now, he’s in a controlled phase, where he’s gambling but seemingly in command of what he’s doing. But this is likely an illusion, and it probably won’t be long before he’s back in a wilder pattern. He really seems to be on his way down the slope.

It sounds like a lot of Y&R drama is heating up for Tuesday’s episode, so stay tuned! We’ll give you updates as Y&R news comes in. Stick with the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.
