The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will eventually make his triumphant return. Y&R fans know an elaborate scheme is currently underway. Since Braeden hasn’t exited the show, Victor’s death was obviously faked as part of a plan to dupe Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Once Victor ultimately reveals he’s alive, the fallout is sure to be shocking. There may be consequences that Victor and the characters in on this plot didn’t anticipate. Let’s look at a preview of all the action. We have to consider what might happen once Victor’s back – perhaps for some November sweeps drama.
For starters, the people left out of the loop aren’t going to be happy. Summer Newman (Hunter King) is an emotional wreck right now, so she’ll definitely be upset that she had to go through this. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be livid as well. Of course, Adam will be the angriest of all since he’s the target here. They may outsmart Adam, but what if he retaliates and truly sinks the Newman clan?
There’s also the matter of some confused kids. Nick mentioned that they’d have to fill Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) in. Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) will have to learn Victor’s gone, too. They couldn’t be trusted to keep the secret, but they can’t really be shielded from all this either. Leaving them in the dark would raise suspicions and might tip off Adam.
It’s pretty messed up to do this to children as young as Connor and Christian. Nick wanted to go on and on about the damage Adam did by revealing Christian’s paternity to him. What about telling your son his grandpa’s dead when he isn’t?! That sounds far worse. Adam may want payback for that – and so could Chelsea. She surely won’t like the fact that Connor was manipulated.
Although the boys will be relieved to learn Victor’s OK later, that’ll bring its own set of confusion and challenges. It’s safe to say the Newman kids’ therapy bills will be astronomical one day. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Chelsea and Nick’s relationship could take a hit after all this. There could be some other romantic shakeups depending on who knows what and who remains in the dark.
