The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, August 7 Review - Sharon Rejects Adam After Run-In With Rey - Billy Needs Help

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Wednesday, August 7, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will call in his assault by Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to the police, and they’ll send none other than Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to take his official statement. Rey and Adam will spar a bit, and Adam will be reluctant to let Rey in the door.

Just as they’re about to discuss who Adam’s witness to the assault is, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will come down the stairs, calling out to Adam and asking if he has any food in the house. Rey will be horrified to see Sharon there with Adam, and Sharon will stutter and try to explain, but Rey will deal with the situation by staying matter-of-fact. He’ll get confirmation that Sharon saw the assault and bolt.

Afterwards, Adam will adamantly tell Sharon that he didn’t set her up, and that he had no way of knowing that Rey was back on the police force. But Sharon will be upset, and she’ll insist that Adam has set her whole world on fire and that this must end. The two will argue, and ultimately Adam will tell her that he wants to make her happy and that the two of them belong together.

But none of this will calm Sharon. She’ll remain upset that Rey saw them together, and she’ll claim that their night together was a mistake and that it happened because she was upset over losing Rey. Still, Adam will insist that they belong together, and he’ll claim that he’s what she’s wanted all along. Sharon will finally leave and demand that Adam stay out of her life.

But will Sharon ultimately stay away from Adam? It sure doesn’t look like she and Rey have a chance at this point, especially since Rey probably has figured out that Sharon and Adam slept together. Things are looking pretty bleak for “Shey” right about now, and it’s difficult to imagine them getting back together unless Sharon truly severs ties with Adam – something that will be impossible now that she’s bound to support him in the custody case after witnessing Nick pummeling Adam.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Wednesday, August 7, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will experience some truly disturbing occurrences. He’ll lead Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to think he’s working, but he’ll head to the Chancellor estate. Alone in the mansion, he’ll call out for his daughter Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) and beg her to talk to him and tell her what to do.

He’ll take another look at the writing behind the wallpaper, which will say “STOP ADAM,” and then he’ll pace around the room, drink coffee, and wait for some sort of sign from Delia. In a sleep-deprived state, he’ll finally fall asleep but end up having a nightmare about searching for Delia and being unable to find her. He’ll hear her say “Daddy, I’m so cold,” then wake up in a startle.

When he goes back and checks the wall again, he’ll see that it now says “STOP ADAM NOW,” and he’ll freak out over the change. Finally, he’ll tell Delia out loud that he’s received her message loud and clear.

So, what can we expect from Billy now? Clearly, he’s a mess. Sure, it’s possible that someone is gaslighting him and leaving him messages to find, but at this point it’s really looking like Billy is devolving. Continual lack of sleep and an abundance of caffeine can lead to serious problems, and it’s quite possible that Billy has left all of these “signs” from Delia himself – perhaps while in an altered state of consciousness.

Time will tell exactly what’s going on here, but it’s looking like Billy’s getting closer to acting on what he now believes Delia is telling him from beyond the grave. And if he starts acting on his delusional beliefs, he’s going to need more help than just an occasional therapy session here and there!
