Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that the NBC soap will ultimately lose two of its most popular pairings. Some big changes are looming in Salem, so DOOL will have to make some major adjustments. Can Days handle the setbacks and keep bringing the sizzle? Let’s look at those two couples we mentioned and try to figure out what that’ll mean for the show’s future
Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) may not be a couple right now, but Jake will ask Gabi to be his “Cin” wedding date next week. Of course, DOOL viewers are also familiar with Banus and Barash’s onscreen chemistry as Gabi and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). It’s clear that Days struck gold when they decided to pair these two up.
The real draw here comes from the actors, so Gabi worked well with Stefan and works well with Jake, too. Since Banus’ onscreen exit is coming up this summer, that’s bad news for fans of “Stabi,” “Jabi,” “Jabriella” or any other ship name you want to call them! The point is Gabi’s leaving – and that means this romance will have to end.
As if losing one popular pairing wasn’t enough, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) relationship with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will also end in heartbreak.
That’s a shame for all the “Cin” fans who adore Ciara and Ben together. Since Ciara’s also headed for the exit door, Ben’s true love is going to walk right out of his life.
When you look at the canvas right now, these are really some of the key love stories. It’ll be a tough blow when Days loses Jake and Gabi’s chance at romance along with Ben and Ciara’s bright future. What happens once Gabi and Ciara are off canvas? Which couples will emerge to fill the hot pairing void that’s left behind?
Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) thankfully seem to be on the verge of getting back together, so that’s one couple that can step up. Sarah and Xander can bring some heat.
We’ve also got Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) to keep delivering some sizzle, so that’s a solid offering. Days is going to need all the sizzle it can get!
There should also be some new pairings that come into play down the road. Jake, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller), Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) can perhaps do some mixing and matching. Ben may even find love again eventually and heat things up with a new woman.
Bottom line, it’ll be a crushing blow when Days of Our Lives loses “Stabi” and “Cin,” but the show must go on! DOOL has survived the loss of other major couples, so they’ll just have to build up some other pairings and keep moving forward. We’ll pass along updates as other Days details emerge.
