Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that fans will have to say goodbye to JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). In the episode airing Tuesday, February 18, JJ gets some crushing news that sparks his exit. After learning that Bill Horton (Edward Mallory) has passed away, JJ decides to travel with his family to Africa for the funeral.
Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), Jennifer Deveraux and Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) will also be traveling there, but they’ll return home soon after. JJ, on the other hand, won’t make the trip back.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say JJ will apparently decide to stay in Africa or perhaps do a little more traveling. Regardless, JJ will need a fresh start away from all the painful memories in Salem.
Now that JJ’s helped Lani Price (Sal Stowers) expose Gabi Hernandez’s (Camila Banus) plot, there’s nothing keeping him in town. JJ’s been feeling lost ever since Haley Chen’s (Thia Megia) death.
JJ’s thankfully not on drugs anymore, but he’s still unsure about his future. Lani’s drama served as a nice distraction, but JJ has to figure out his own path and what that looks like without Haley.
This new beginning should serve as a way for JJ to sort through his feelings and determine what’s next. It’s a move that makes sense for JJ at this point in the story, but it’s still disappointing for many Days of Our Lives fans. Moss is a great actor who’s well-liked, so it’s always a shame to lose a valuable DOOL cast member.
On Twitter, many DOOL viewers have been speaking out on Moss’ upcoming departure. “I know actors come and go but I’m really really bummed Casey is leaving,” one fan tweeted. “I’m gonna miss him,” said another Days viewer, who included a heartbroken emoji.
“Casey, I’m going to miss watching you on #Days,” one more fan said in a message to Moss himself. “JJ is one of my absolute faves. Best wishes to you & I can’t wait to see what you have planned next.” We’ll be sure to give you updates on any exciting projects Moss becomes part of.
