Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the NBC soap has a real problem when it comes to one character’s love life. Sadly, it seems like all Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) relationships are doomed. Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) was Hope’s true love, so “Bope” was a supercouple that plenty of fans rooted for. Unfortunately, Days has never been able to create the same kind of magic with anyone else.
DOOL managed to build a new couple with chemistry back when Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) was a good guy, but that story went off the rails when Aiden turned dark. Days fans watched Aiden try to kill Hope, but a messy rewrite later made a lookalike responsible.
Still, it was tough to get past the mental image of “Aiden” attempting Hope’s murder. DOOL later took Aiden to the brink of darkness again before he realized he was becoming a man he didn’t like. In the end, Aiden left town and thankfully walked out of Hope’s life.
Even putting the problematic story aside, Aiden and Hope just didn’t have quite the same spark as Bo and Hope. Bo was Hope’s perfect match in many fans’ eyes, and the show’s clearly struggled to put Hope in another successful pairing.
Hope and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) had a pretty good run before their marriage fell apart, but that doesn’t mean they were interesting or had any sizzle. Rafe and Hope were nice enough together, but “nice enough” doesn’t cut it when there are so many other smoking-hot couples on canvas.
DOOL also tried making Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) a love interest for Hope before his death. It was just another example of a doomed romance for Hope. Now the show may once again be steering Hope toward romantic disaster.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Hope will continue to support Rafe, who recently handed David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends) over to Zoey Burge (Alyshia Ochse).
Rafe and Hope have definitely been connecting, so we’re seeing the first signs of a possible reunion. Alas, that reunion can’t last since Hope’s staying and Rafe will be exiting down the road. Rafe and Hope might get a couple months of being together again, but that’s about the best they can hope for.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Hope will end up right back where she always does: single and presumably lonely. Since it seems like “Bope” is the only pairing that DOOL can make work, should they consider bringing Bo back from the dead? Would you accept a Bo recast or would you only want Peter Reckell in the role?
Hope needs someone fun and adventurous as well as a hero she can rely on. Bo checks all the right boxes, so he may always be Hope’s ideal match. Regardless, Hope’s doomed romance streak needs to end! Is bringing Bo Brady back the only way?
