Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will get Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) approval and make a bold move during the week of September 21-25. Eric will accept Angie’s (Nzinga Blake) offer to help the villagers in Africa, so that’ll take Eric off canvas – and leave Nicole without a love interest.
DOOL plans to let Eric and Nicole stay happily married for a while, but how long is that exactly? Greg Vaughan doesn’t intend to return anytime soon, so Days of Our Lives may have to give Nicole another man eventually. Could the show already be offering a hint about where Nicole’s love life is headed next?
Ever since Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) baby story kicked off, there’s been a crucial key player in it. Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) has been quite involved in all the drama – and that seems poised to continue. Nicole and Lucas definitely had some fun clashing scenes early on.
There was also a little baby bickering on the September 17 episode, but it’s easy to see Lucas and Nicole feel comfortable around each other. Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) paid $5 million to marry Lucas once upon a time as part of a custody scheme, so Nicole has an interesting history with Lucas.
Days has something to work with if they decide to pursue a romantic angle for Lucas and Nicole.
On Twitter, DOOL fans have been weighing in on the possibility of Lucas being Nicole’s next love interest. Some would rather Nicole stay single – just in case Eric might return. Others are more open to seeing where things could lead between Nicole and Lucas.
“Today’s episode of Days better not have been an anvil of a future Nicole/Lucas pairing! I don’t want Nicole with anyone but Eric!” one fan tweeted. “#Lumi is my fave, but damn if there aren’t these Lucas/Nicole sparks. What’s their ship name, y’all?” asked another intrigued viewer.
Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will finally butt out and leave Salem next week – although she’ll be back down the road. In the meantime, the baby will remain in town with Nicole and Allie.
It’s safe to say Grandpa Lucas will be welcome to pitch in, too. There could be many more opportunities for Nicole and Lucas to bond in the months ahead.
