Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will face the verdict of her upcoming trial. Whether Gabi’s declared guilty or not guilty, she’s going to get out of this mess soon. With that in mind, let’s look at what’s next for Gabi. She’s all about proving Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) is actually Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), but will she actually prove that?
On July 2, Gabi and Jake will be shocked by the DNA test results. They’ll both be left reeling, so this presents a tricky situation. Jake has been adamant that he’s truly Jake and has his own memories, so he wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t a match for Stefan. That would allow Jake to wash his hands of all this.
Gabi, on the other hand, has been insistent that “Jake” is indeed the one and only Stefan DiMera. If Jake isn’t a match, that’d certainly throw her for a loop. In other words, it seems kind of contradictory for both of them to reel over the news. Gabi would be shocked if Jake’s not a match, and Jake would be shocked if he is.
However, maybe finally having tangible evidence this is Stefan would leave Gabi reeling, too. There’s a difference between knowing in her heart that this is Stefan and having a piece of paper that proves it.
Gabi would still be shocked to have some certainty on this and would realize her “dead” husband has really come back to her. She’s not crazy like so many people have implied.
Jake’s the one where his reaction is non-negotiable. It seems like there’s no way he’d be shocked unless Gabi’s claims are proven correct. Looking at all available Days of Our Lives spoilers, these DNA results have to prove Jake is a match for Stefan.
Of course, this proof could be more complicated than it seems on the surface. There’s a chance Jake is Stefan’s twin, so the DNA evidence would still be a match in that case.
We should note though that Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) will seem truly floored by Jake aka Stefan. Vivian would surely know if Stefan had a twin brother walking around, so that may not be the way this DOOL story’s headed.
There’s one more option to consider here and that’s the possibility that the DNA test results will be altered by someone. That’s always on the table when it comes to Days! It’ll be interesting to see where things go from here, but Gabi and Jake will definitely be blown away when they see those results.
