Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Kate Mansi Moved To Tears By Powerful Story - Shares During Coronavirus COVID-19 Emergency

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some news to share about a popular DOOL star. Kate Mansi, who portrays Abigail DiMera on the NBC soap, shared something poignant with her fans during the coronavirus COVID-19 emergency. After being moved to tears by a powerful novel, Kate shared her thoughts on the book with her Instagram followers and strongly recommended it to all.

Kate shared a selfie taken in the moments after she finished the book, which is titled The Fox Hunt: A Refugee’s Memoir Of Coming To America and is authored by Mohammed Al Samawi.

The book’s official summary is as follows: “The Fox Hunt tells one young man’s unforgettable story of his harrowing escape from Yemen’s brutal civil war with the help of a daring plan engineered on social media by a small group of interfaith activists in the West.”

In her Instagram post, Kate explained that she had seen the author at a Yom Kippur service this year and that she was deeply moved. “I bought his book days later and brought it with me to start reading over a few trips in the last months but never got around to it,” she said.

“Like love, I feel books always find us at the right timing,” Kate continued. “I strongly suggest reading this book during the current environmental climate. After finishing it yesterday, I couldn’t move for a long while. I got up to the kitchen but stood there frozen still not ready to go back to my life yet.”

She continued: “My fiancé, who had also heard @alsamawi speak that day and knew I’d been reading the book, looked up from his current office desk…(the kitchen table) and ended his work call. I had no words to tell him the experience I’d had with this book except to repeat over and over ‘we are so lucky, we are just so lucky.’ To be alive, to have the freedom to choose how we create and shape our lives, who we love!”

Kate’s followers have been steadily replying to her post, many of whom indicated that they now wanted to read the book, too. For example, one follower replied: “Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds like a book everyone should read.” And another said: “Thank you for the recommendation, I ordered it just now! Perfect to read during this quarantine!”

It’s great to have a recommendation for a good read during this time of social distancing as a result of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. It was great timing on Kate Mansi’s part to share this with her followers at the present time, and it sounds like the book’s message is quite meaningful.

“I am alive, standing here in front of you today because of a series of small acts.” @alsamawi spoke these words at this year’s Yom Kippur service @ikar_losangeles & I couldn’t shake the impact of his story. I bought his book days later & brought it with me to start reading over a few trips the last months but never got around to it. I’ve always had a ritual when I start a book, to write on the inside cover- the date & where I am in my life at the time I’ve started it. Like love, I feel books always find us at the right timing. I strongly suggest reading this book during the current environmental climate. After finishing it finally yesterday, I couldn’t move for a long while. I got up to the kitchen but stood there frozen still not ready to go back to my life yet. My fiancé, who also heard @alsamawi speak that day & knew I’d been reading the book, looked up from his current office desk…(the kitchen table) and ended his work call. I had no words to tell him the experience I’d had with this book except to repeat over & over “we are lucky, we are just so so lucky.” To be alive, to have the freedom to choose how we create & shape our lives, who we love! I’ve just ordered several more copies to keep in my closet alongside my other favorite book to gift which ironically, is “The Choice” by @dr.editheger. What a pair. To @alsamawi, Justin, Daniel, Natasha & Megan- thank you for sharing your story. I’m in awe of the depth of empathy from strangers. Small acts…. The Fox Hunt by @alsamawi
