Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some news to pass on about Kyle Lowder, who recently appeared on Days of Our Lives, reprising his role as Rex Brady. Rex became an integral part of the baby swap storyline after he ran into Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) in Paris. Sarah was hoping to blend into the Paris scene and she certainly wasn’t expecting to see anyone she knew from the United States, let alone her ex!
Of course, Rex hadn’t seen Sarah for some time, but after he saw her in a cafe with the baby whom he thought was Sarah’s daughter Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton, he was happy to catch up.
Rex didn’t know at that point that Sarah was on the run and that the baby was really Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) daughter Rachel Black.
But Rex soon learned about the baby switch after a phone call with his mom Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) and the gig was up for Sarah. Unfortunately for Rex, Sarah resorted to desperate measures and conked Rex over the head, tied him up, and gagged him so that he wouldn’t turn her in for kidnapping.
Well, the whole thing ultimately got resolved, and eventually Kristen came along and rescued Rex. That’s the good news. The bad news is that Kyle Lowder has now wrapped his DOOL run, and Rex will be seen no more on canvas. Rex’s final airdate was on Tuesday, May 12th.
As you night know, Kyle Lowder has been on the soap scene for many years. In addition to now playing Rex on Days of Our Lives, he portrayed Brady Black on the show from 2000-2005.
Kyle’s version of Brady was romantically involved with both Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Kyle also portrayed Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2007-2011.
This past Christmas, Kyle starred in “A Mermaid For Christmas” alongside his DOOL co-star and ex-wife Arianne Zucker, and he currently has several projects in the works, including a movie called “The Ravine” that stars Peter Facinelli (Twilight, Nurse Jackie) and Leslie Uggams.
At any rate, it’s sad to see Kyle exit from DOOL, but there’s always the possibility that he’ll return down the road, storyline permitting. Did you enjoy Kyle’s brief return as Rex?
